Wordless Wednesday

We went down to Fair Park in Dallas and enjoyed some of the various scenes.
The bottom 2 pictures were taken from the park.
The top one is a ride from the children's amusement park just outside the mall.

Shower Stool

Believe me when I bath my litte guy here I do have a chair to sit on. It makes me more comfortable doing that way. Plus it doesn't really bother me since I have enough room to maneuver. Josh also got a small chair in there,so we're both definitely using it everyday. It was actually Myke's idea at first and we all love having those there. If you have a narrow tub this kind of shower chairs are perfect for you. Check it out!

New Lens

I was definitely eyeing on a canon macro lens and hubby promised to get it for me next month. I agreed to get a prime lens this time, which is a lot cheaper than the macro lens. This was his gift to me last Valentines Day a Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM Medium Telephoto Lens. We are planning to go on a short family trip next month,so can't wait to take more photos. I am pretty much happy with this one.

Book worm

I was watching E! News last night and saw a short clip about an interview of the author of Losing It. I am excited to see the whole interview this coming Monday I believe in Oprah Show. So does any of you love to read books. I used to spend a lot of time reading when I was in HS and now it has changed. I have other things I would love to pursue like photography and continue to create digital scrapbooking pages. You know little things like this is so much fun and it would definitely entertain me. I would love to check out this book too.

Boxed In

So the newest fad right now in digital scrapbooking are boxes. It's definitely a hit. So here is my take of Annie's boxes. I called this my collection box. I had fun creating this one. All you have to do is fill these boxes and put any embellishments you like. When you visit the galleries you will see tons of them. Scrappers come up with different style and design.

Life Insurance

I can't thank hubby enough for being so supportive of everything. Lately he mentioned of getting a life insurance and told me how important it is.
He just worries too much and I am grateful he plans on getting one. He's been checking quite a few life insurance policies and I hope he can decide soon. I think everyone could afford one if you just really have to work on it.

Faucets

We've been wanting to renovate our bathroom and lately we're kind of stuck and can't decide what to purchase. Hubby being busy most of the time we can't just focus on pursuing this project. A friend of mine also renovated their bathroom and talked about some products we might consider. I stumbled upon Price Pfister and I am actually impressed with the selections they have. If we're ready I would definitely check this store again.

Hearts Day Update

Hubby had to work on Thursday,so we decided to have a special dinner at Wednesday night instead as an early Valentine's Day celebration. We went to our favorite Mexican restaurant. We got Chicken Poblano Taquitos as our starter and followed by Chicken Monterry Dinner for myself and Joshua, then Myke got Brisket Sandwich. For dessert we shared the Brownie Skillet Sundae. We were so full and we had to take home the rest of it. Myke surprised Joshua with a Mickey Mouse balloon and heart shaped box of chocolates. We ordered my 50mm f/1.4 USM Canon lens still hasn't come lol . Then bought myself a new purse and a camera bag the one I showed below. Then by Thursday Joshua handed me this cute card and also flowers. Hubby got a kiss and a card hehe.. he doesn't need anything lol. It was just a simple celebration though. How about yours!

World of Golf

I am not an expert of this kind of sport, but sure admire people who have the skills to play the game. It's fun watching different kinds of sports and have at least a little knowledge about it. I had fun visiting this site and browsing golf accessories. It's interesting to see what they got at Mizuno golf.
I found some really cool accessories online.

1

Crumpler Photo Bag

So I finally got a Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home Photo Bag. I got the idea from fellow scrappers and photographers. They love this kind of camera bag and thought of checking it out. Based on the positive user reviews I was convinced to get one for myself too. This was one of hubby's gift from me last Valentines Day. I am thrilled I got the bag since I really need one, where I could put all my camera accessories. Especially now that I have more lenses to carry around. I love what I got!

Online Retailer

I bet everyone had a great time with your family last Valentine's Day. I got what I wanted and I am so thrilled about that. My little guy was also excited about his presents from daddy. He got balloons and a heart shaped box of chocolates. Myke still managed to get something for us even though he was busy the whole week. On the other hand,as early as now I already got interested looking Easter decors online and found some Lillian Vernon coupons for me to use. Isn't that cool!

Recent Layouts

Aside from all the wonderful time spent with my little man here. I also enjoyed scrapping during my free time. Myke would take over part of the day. Those two could go wherever they want and I am here enjoying my PC time. I am just glad Myke is so considerate about my hobby. He knows how much I enjoyed creating this stuff,so he makes sure I would get my turn being alone and not be bothered. So there's always that creative mood of mine, that could pop up anytime of the day. It's awesome to feel being free.

Workout System

We often don't like to discuss how much we weight or tell everyone how heavy we are. I think that's something others just want to keep to themselves. Though it's very common in this country about the weight problems. We can't just find the right remedy for this dilemma. I had mentioned a few times, that I wanted to go back in shape. I had tried Pilates and order the DVDs online. I know it takes time and constant exercising would help. Try to have ellipticals at home too.

After a long rest-Update one

Last Monday was awesome. For the first time we were finally able to watch a Hockey game at close range. Hubby got complimentary tickets and we sure didn't miss it. It's so rare that we could go to events like that. A $120 dollar ticket each person lol. so we went and it was fun. I know my little guy won't be thrilled like daddy, but at least he had idea what it was. The screaming definitely made Joshua not comfortable. Thought it could had been more fun if Myke was with his buddies, but he prefers to go with us. It was exciting to see those guys in person, that we often read about. Hockey is exciting to watch on TV,but more exciting to see it up close.
The rest of the week was spent at home. Valentine's Day update will follow.
Sorry I need to disable my CBOX at this moment since someone is spamming it. They can't just leave pleasant messages. Instead wasting their time visiting my site and leave nasty messages. I won't tolerate that!

1st in Coffee

We've had few coffee makers before, that I broke. So Myke actually bought a new coffee maker for us to use this season.I am also careful about Josh because he is into messing things lately and would want to start brewing by himself. In fact last night he got a treat to Starbucks again lol. My little guy is such a sucker of Strawberry and Creme Frap at Starbucks.

3

The Notebook

I feel so blessed this week. I can't just thank these designers enough. They're so generous to share their products and let me play with them. Melgen sent me this cute element set"The Notebook" and already created a layout using these stuff. I will upload the LO to the gallery tomorrow too,so she can see what I have created.

Transworld Futures

Hubby does day trading for quite sometime now. I would say he is quite addicted to it. Though it requires a hefty amount of capital on this investment. He still manages to give it a try. The last few years he did fairly well, but switched from one commodity brokers to the other. I just hope in the next few years he can benefit from all of his hardwork.

Are You a Good Student

Growing up my parents were so strict. Having good grades was really the priority. So I should say I did well when I was going to school. I would get upset if my scores were low and always work on those areas I am not good at. But overall my grades were all good and I have studied hard to achieve those. I love challenges so I was very competitive in school.

You Are a Great Student

You aren't afraid to crack the books when you need to, and you make your education a true priority.
You could become a PhD in anything, if you set your mind to it. There's no limit to what you can learn!

Hubby is such a sweetheart. I know already what he is going to give me this coming Valentine's Day. I've been asking this for so long and now he agreed it's the right time to buy it. I am going to let you know when I have it already. So what are you planning to give to your other half? I know it's tough sometimes finding the perfect gifts. Scrapping like crazy

Lately I feel tired updating this blog lol. Maybe because I just really wanted to spend time with Joshua. I am really enjoying everyday with him. We are also starting to look for school because he is going to start this year. Last year had been really tough dealing with work and not being able to spend time with my little one. But this year I will make sure it's going to be different. I am just enjoying to be home and free from all of those drama. Now that I got a chance to make a little income at home too. Even though it's not that much, but it's still really helps.
On the other hand I am also scrapping like crazy. I have hundreds of photos to scrap, so I am really catching up. Here are a few of them!

Weekend Snapshot

We had a great time this weekend going to Bachman Lake in Dallas. We had some food so we ate along the lake. Love Field airport is adjacent so the planes were landing and taking off while we were there. It gave Josh a great chance to get outdoors and ride his scooter. It's amazing how a little outdoor fun can turn into a nice family time.

When prices go up everything is affected and no one can't skip this changes. What if you have a sickly family member. How much is the overall prescription drug bills going to be. Could you imagine the total out-of-pocket costs unless you enrolled for a medicare part d. Aside from the great benefits you can get you would definitely save more. So enroll now!

Kids pursuing stardom

Would you encourage your kids to pursue stardom? I think this was the most interesting topic hubby and I discussed last night. I told hubby I want Josh to enjoy his childhood and would want him to really have a degree first before pursuing anything else. We've heard too much about Britney Spears and other fallen stars. It's just really sad how everything turned out. If by chance Josh would want to have a career in music or acting we never know. I will support him,but will never introduce this path at such an early age. I know we all have different wishes to our kids and as long as we're there to guide them. I believe our kids will be fine. Do any of you even consider this? I know some parents are forcing their kids to pursue acting and would want their kids to become famous one day. Is it really all for the money? We need to remember money can't buy happiness.Do we really care how much we're worth. Being just an ordinary person doesn't make us less important. Hubby had such a great conclusion about this issue and we both agreed education is really important.

Election Qlips

Everyone of us is entitled to express our opinions. Though I am a bit conservative when it comes to politics sometimes, but being a good citizen I would still want my voice to be heard and find a way to share my thoughts. If you have ideas or concerns regarding our recent election don't hesitate to share your thoughts by visiting the ElectionQlips website. You can participate through commenting the videos and be part of it. It's also wise to take time and share your thoughts to our fellow citizens through leaving comments. You should be thrilled that everyone can participate in any debate, discussion and controversy using your own voice. The QlipMedia has just launched the public beta version of ElectionQlips a new destination to discuss this year's Election. This is the perfect place for you to be heard. So jump right in!

QlipMedia (http://www.qlipmedia.com) has just launched the public beta version of ElectionQlips (http://www.electionqlips.com), a new destination to discuss all that is Election 2008. Readers can share their comments with the community and leave comments on Presidential Election themed video posts using their recorded voice, free-hand drawing, and images to let everyone know what they think and how they feel about every point in the posted debates, ads, punditry and stump speeches.

As the nation’s attention increasingly focuses on the outcomes of the ongoing primary elections and the general election to follow this November, viewers of ElectionQlips can stayed tuned to all the exciting action, including voice and video comments of their fellow citizens. And anyone can bring their wit and wisdom to bear on the debate of the moment, commenting to their heart’s content with their own voice and images.

The blogosphere has always been about giving a voice to common ‘netizens’, while democratizing the dissemination of the news and opinion. But heretofore that voice has been confined to the two dimensional world of the written word. The broad appeal of video has added a third dimension, a layer of contextual relevancy just not possible with the written word alone. Blog commenting has been similarly constrained by the same technical barriers. ElectionQlips brings multimedia blogging full circle, giving blog commenters the ability to post live, multimedia comments right on the videos they’re viewing in their own voice, using their own doodles and images.

• 100+ million blogs in existence
• 1.5 million blog posts per day
• 1 blog with multimedia commenting capability

ElectionQlips users can take their election debate with them by sharing the link and embedding the player anywhere. On the video timeline, it’s easy to bring out all the facts with every detail of the debate through point-by-point analysis. The density of comments at every point let’s one see what’s hot and what’s not in every debate.

The goal of ElectionQlips is to make it possible for everyone to participate in any debate, discussion and controversy using their own voice. Commenting on blog posts is a common enough, ElectionQlips gives an edge over other contemporary election blogs, especially with respect to sharing your comments and opinions.

About QlipMedia:
QlipMedia makes QlipBoard, a tool that combines videos and images with drawing, highlighting and adds your voice is the easiest way to talk about anything and turn any video into an instant discussion room. ElectionQlips is produced by QlipMedia, Inc. and designed by OuterJoin. For more information, visit www.qlipmedia.com
