Japanese Garden

Last weekend had been great.I am glad we were able to unwind at the beautiful Japanese Garden in Fortworth. The whole place is just marvelous. Josh really enjoyed feeding the fishes and I was engrossed finding great views to capture. There are still a lot of different gardens to visit next time. The place is so huge that we can't visit all of them. I would love to visit there again and see the other gardens we haven't visited yet. The place is so relaxing and peaceful and no disburtance from the outside. I just want to wander around and stare at the beautiful nature God has created.

JennyR got me tagged about my celebrity crushes. I am kinda stuck with just 2 celebrity crushes ever since and didn't really care with the rest even the hot male models nowadays hehe.. The first one would be Tom Welling as in the hot lead actor in Smallville right? Look at those gorgeous eyes and his natural charm makes his fans really like him and that mysterious role in Smallville is really hot.


My second pick would be Josh Hartnett. I can't just get enough of this guy hehe..
Those women that are linked to him are sure very lucky. He has a stare in his eyes that could melt any women's heart. His role in Pearl Harbor captured my heart and followed his other movies then. This guy exudes charm!

Summer Fun

No doubt I love Spring season.The last couple of weeks all we did was visiting different botanic gardens just to take photos of flowers. The other day was no exception. I have tons of flower photos again. We just love walking underneath the trees and feel the cool breeze in the garden. On the other hand I can't also wait to enjoy Summer. The only thing we don't have here close by is the beach. We need to drive 3-5 hours to see one. But that won't stop us to enjoy the Summer and if need be why not go to Mexico right? Tons of beautiful beaches over there. Sporting a nice beach bike is definitely a great addition. Cruiserstyle has great selections of beach cruisers and I love the 26" XYZ Easyrider Beach Cruiser for women. They also have some great accessories to go with it. I just love the idea of getting a good tan and enjoy outdoors. So many things to do in Summer time like surfing,boating,island hopping,biking,camping,rock climbing,ocean cruising and a lot more. Some of these activities might not be ideal when you have toddlers,but no doubt this would be fun to others. Must be awesome to visit any of the top destinations of world too. So enjoy!

Future Trip

We are looking forward to visiting San Antonio Seaworld this coming Summer. Too bad we can't make it next month. They're only open during weekends and Thursdays,so it's definitely not the best time. My little guy is super excited about this trip and we can't wait to go there. This is only a 4 day trip,so I am already listing what attractions to visit and what not to be missed. No doubt it's a beautiful place to visit! The theme park alone is really huge and it might take us two days to finish seeing everything. I think everyone who goes there will really love the historic feel of the city. The anticipation is killing me!

How safe are we

After what happened the last time we purchased my camera bag online. We are now very cautious of the sites we are going to visit. I was just searching an online store where I can purchase a camera bag. We were shocked when the site was acting up and we were charged 5 times of that particular item. Hubby and I totally freaked out I thought we were in serious trouble. I don't know what really happened to the site,but I am definitely not clicking that website again. Of course, that's something we don't expect when shopping online. I was quite positive about the website especially it was recommended by one of the moms in the forum. After many years of building our credit of course we don't want someone to ruin or steal it. Maybe there was just a glitch in the website during that time. But what if it happens for real and now the question is are we protected? How can we avoid all those. It might be wise to invest on lifelock then. We don't really have the time to monitor every second what's happening and with lifelock we will be notified with any suspicious activities. If we want a lifetime security then this is definitely worth signing for.

Just another fun day outside

I am very thankful we signed up for family season tickets in Dallas Zoo this year. We recently visited the Fair Park Aquarium and because we're a member at DZ,so we don't have to pay anything. I mean one year access and we only have to pay one time I think we got a great deal. A family of four might spend $50-$60 dollars just in one day. Having to go back there without worrying another $60 bucks to be spent. Then better off get a season ticket and that's exactly what we did. We spent part of our day at the FP Aquarium today and here are some of the photos I took.

Perfect Getaway

Hubby promised we will visit different places and travel more this year. It's been always his dream to travel and we will make sure this will be a fun year for everyone. Having a 5 year old now at home we're definitely looking forward to visiting Disney World,Sea World,Zoos,Waterparks,Beaches,and a lot more. I can't even think of another time that would work for us especially by September Joshua is going to start school already. This is definitely a treat for him before focusing in school. Who would not want to have San Diego zootickets right now. Yeap, this is definitely another family Spring trip. I notice my little one is so fascinated with animals and that's why visiting zoo is really one thing he would love. If only I could swing by at my friend's house she would really be thrilled to see me there in Sanfrancisco.

Facial Care

I am a little bit lucky,that I don't have to deal with pimples or any serious facial skin problems. No need to buy really expensive stuff just a simple facial wash,toner and moisturizer then I am good to go. The other week I was tempted to try using this one product that I know some of my friends don't have a problem using it. I've tried it for a week and the result was just very upsetting. Pimples occured the day after and my face was just really dry. I freaked out when I saw I had a huge zit on my face haha.. So my neglected Apricot scrub saved my face big time. I spent long enough to scrub my face and get rid of that nasty zit. I've been using Apricot scrub for long years now and I am just happy it works well for my face so far.

Just a fad

I can still remember the chaos when the ipods first came out. Everyone wants to have one. Hubby was more interested to get one for me. So out of curiosity I ended up getting one for myself too. I was in the process of sending presents to my family and all my sisters and brother wanted were ipods. It's because they're special all their wishes were granted. Wherever I go I noticed everyone has one lol. I believe this was really a hit mostly to teenagers. No doubt it's a cool gadget!

Happy Camper

I was supposed to meet a friend the other day. While Josh and I were getting ready my friend then called she can't make it. Joshua wasn't very happy after I told him we're not going to meet his friends anymore. So I decided to take him to the Disney Store instead. I told him to buy whatever he wants using his b-day money given by friends and relatives. He actually picked Power Rangers Bath Towel,Nemo Cup,and Power Rangers Cars. He was such a happy camper that day. Just a cheap thrill! I also bought some stuff at Bath and Body Works and a few others.

New Stuff

I don't have enough time to scrap lately. My second photobook hasn't been completed as well. A few friends been wondering why I haven't uploaded LOs in the gallery. We're just really busy going to different places lately. I enjoyed it so much and it's definitely a relief to be away from my PC sometimes. Spending more time with my little guy is also a priority. We just visited his school last week and enrollment starts in August. Josh isn't really thrilled going to school either. But I have talked to him about it of how important it is to study,learn and mingle with other kids. I hope it won't be a problem when that time comes. Oh well I felt like this kit would help me revive my mojo back. I might be able to scrap again this week!

Affordable Seating

I was just browsing an interior design magazine. There's this one family room design that I just really loved. I enjoyed looking those stuff and discover different styles. That way I could be creative on my own way too. Designers sharing their ideas to us is really precious. I've been wanting to study interior design and maybe one day I can pursue that dream. Most homes I've visited have undoubtedly elegant family rooms. Isn't it nice to have a very cozy and relaxing home theater seating. That's definitely something everyone wants to have.

Business Owner

I am just proud of my little sister. The newly wed opened up a new boutique. Owning one has been her long time dream. This is such a great way to be able to build up something for her family and future kids. Finding commercial real estate hasn't really been easy. With the help of a couple of friends they were able to find the perfect space for their store. My family is also there to help her and hopefully she will be successful with this new venture. I would definitely say this has been an exciting week!

A day at the zoo

It's been awhile since the last time we went to the zoo. So we decided to have a trip there yesterday. Josh was very thrilled of this trip. One thing I have observed is that he doesn't complain he was tired. We had spent 3 hours over there and the whole time he was OK. He really enjoyed seeing all the animals. It also helps that he sees a lot of kids in there. So he thinks he is part of the group and the more he likes to stay. I enjoyed taking photos of the birds the most and had skipped the monkeys and any other huge creatures lol.

VS:Tankinis

I was just browsing at VS swimwear. I think I could handle this tankinis. I love stuff like this because I want to cover my tummy area. Just perfect if you want to hide something. These three are the ones I liked so far. Hubby decided we're going to enroll Josh again this year for swimming class. So I am looking for swimwear I could wear this Summer.

Must travel

Don't you just want to unwind in the most beautiful destinations in the world. I bet everyone is anxious to hit the beaches and waterparks this coming Summer. I was just talking to a friend and mentioned going to the Hawaiin Falls. I think we could save if we're going to get a season ticket. The kids would definitely want to go there the whole Summer. Just a perfect time for the whole family to enjoy. Others might want to consider island hopping anywhere near the Outer Banks. We have gazillion plans and places we wanna go to,so we will see!

Not so techie

It's very amusing to see my 5 year old operates the computer like a pro. Hubby would always say what a different world he has compared to him when he was still little. I think most kids nowadays are prone to use computers as early as possible. Hubby is really not the techie type. Everytime we have PC problems he would always ask his friend to check it for us. To him it's just very complicated. He can't even find the files he downloaded on the web sometimes-(Giggles)! How much more if there are new softwares or any programming tools like dos command line needed to be set up in the near future.

Newest Favorite

I think Jofia's "Beautiful Day" Mini Kit is just gorgeous. This my newest favorite kit. I really love the kite element and the flowers on this kit. Not to mention the gorgeous papers and different rainbows. Everytime I see something new it makes me want to change the look of my blog again. Just love to tweak my header when I have gorgeous embellishments to use. Isn't this cute? I just saw her LO using this kit and I was oohing and aahing over her design. This is definitely a must have!

Work it out

After I gave birth I felt so uncomfortable with my body. That triggered me to order Pilates DVDs online and sadly I wasn't able to use it. I was very much occupied with other things that I wasn't able to focus on exercising. That was really a hard transition from being skinny to getting pregnant.But didn't realize taking care of an infant is definitely a lot of work. Plus no help from other relatives and friends,so that was quite a handful everyday. Along the way without knowing I was back to 98lbs. Whatever that works for our body be it Pilates or even weight loss pills are still really acceptable.

Redecorate

If there's one place I would love to redecorate it's definitely our bedroom. I had bought a few stuff last Christmas,but I would really want to have a new bedroom furniture. There are actually tons of furniture stores nearby. The good thing about redecorating is that hubby tends to not really care what stuff I pick. I think I just found the perfect furniture too.

Women can never have enough shoes

Why it isn't enough for women to own just two or three pairs of shoes. Hubby doesn't seem to get it yet lol. Everytime I see something cute and fits me well. I can't just get out of the store without buying it. Why we are always tempted to buy stuff and why isn't there a satisfaction.We just love to collect them and believe me most of those shoes we have maybe worn once or twice. No idea why,but all I know is that women can never have enough shoes. Oh well it's seems like it's time again to purchase some. I'll be attending a special occasion next month and these are my three picks.

Boyles Furniture

If there's one person I could remember who is into discount furniture is definitely my English teacher. She would come in to class and first thing she would share is all about the stuff she bought. It was pretty funny but that was really her and I enjoyed her shopping experiences. If there are things she doesn't like expect her to comment on those too. Looking at these stuff right now is very enticing to shop.

Pet Peeve

I absolutely hate people on the phone while driving. I've encountered it everyday and it sucks big time if you're driving next to them.There's this one lady who was ahead of me and you can really tell she was distracted. It's always annoying but can't stop them lol. If I'm in the public I rarely answer my phone unless it's really important. If I could find a great spot,where I could lower the tone of my voice there's a possibility I would answer calls. But overall it would just stay in my purse.

I definitely love the CAT6 ethernet cable standard. Performance wise it's definitely the best. Hubby always let his techy friend to check our computers if there's something wrong. Just by looking what he does I also learned a lot from him.It's also really interesting to know the uses of these materials too.I admit everyone in the family is quite an internet addict.Even my little guy sure can spend to many hours on the net.

My dad used to be a manager of the H&H Company. Every year the team would always come up with such an amazing and unique promotional products. I even still kept a few items they had years ago. People could just come up with any products imaginable out there. If it's sold out in the market then they're very lucky. I was just browsing a few stuff online and I love what I've seen so far. It's definitely rare,unique and creative.

Dallas Blooms

We went to the arboretum earlier this week. I'm glad we were able to squeeze it in despite Myke's busy schedule. It wasn't really surprising to see a lot of people at the flower festival. It was just perfect for most families to visit there. We weren't able to visit every year and this time we made sure we won't miss it. I just love how relaxing it was resting underneath the trees and glanced at the beautiful flowers.We're definitely looking forward to seeing it again next year.

Spring Inspiration

When I got married in my early 20's I figured mom would be a little devastated. It's because I had moved out very young and I know she was really concerned of me. That was definitely a hard transition,but she survived and she already understood,that her first born child has her own family now. I would definitely say that there's still a special bonding between me and her. I've been away from my mom for 7 years now,but I never failed to send her flowers especially during mother’s day. When it comes to occasions like this I will always order flowers online.I have managed to do it for many years. At first mom was very surprised and never expected one from me every year. The only way those flowers will be sent on time was to order it days before the celebration. I love love buying gifts to someone,so that's something I have really enjoyed. I wish I am not this far,so my presents aren't very limited. But I am glad she will be joining us soon. Phone calls twice/thrice a week really helped a lot too. So what about you? How often do you send flowers to your mom? As a way of appreciation sending flowers to our moms is really a sweet gesture. I know they would love that. Surprise

I promised Josh we are going to the mall this week. After he woke up today he told me he wants to go shopping. I was thinking we could do it tomorrow,but he was so persuasive to go shopping today instead. Josh wears sizes 6 or 7 now. I think it's wise to buy him a bigger size because after 2-3 months it's not going to fit him anymore. He is such a big boy now and I sometimes joke by saying I don't him want to grow. Or something like I wanted him to stay 5 years old. His response is "I am not a baby anymore". We didn't really stay long since I wanted to be home before traffic gets bad. So that was our day!

Quality Printing

I've been planning to order my second photo book in shutterfly. I think they have undoubtedly quality printers.I haven't printed a single scrapbooking layout using our home printer. I am just so lazy to do it and it's taking me so long to complete the book. I need at least a hundred layouts.I don't know when can I finish this,but hopefully I could order soon. I do love how the first photobook came out and I am looking forward to ordering the next one.

Birthday Boy

My little guy turned 5 last Tuesday. He actually had two parties and the first one was with her cousins. The second one was with our selected friends and it was held at Chuck E. Cheese's. As a favor daddy ordered his cake twice decorated with his favorite cartoon character Spongebob. He just love spongebob and even Myke and I are both fascinated with him as well. The intention was to let the kids just play and enjoy,while have some pizzas and drinks. You know just a simple celeration for kids. We also have a lot tokens for the kids to use and I am glad they did enjoy it. I was surprised that after 4 hours of playing nobody was ready to go home yet. Our friends were also nice enough to wrap some wonderful presents for him. He got bubble mower,bicycle,clothes,cash,cards and a few other toys. This was such a fun time for Josh because he didn't only picked his b-day theme,but also picked the family friends to join him celebrate. My little guy is sure growing!

Officially Married

We had quite a lot of activities last weekend. I am too tired to update my blog after Joshua's b-day. So 3 days of rest was really great and was able to spend time with my little guy. I am also thrilled that after a long preparation my sister is officially married. Due to the help of my family members everything was taking care of. My younger sister was really a big help and she did all the planning. From the wedding cake,venue,wedding favors,wedding invitations, to the bridal shower invitations. She did it all and I am really thankful she was around.

Project 365

I was googling earlier and stumbled upon Photojojo. I really like the concept of Project 365-"How to Take a Photo a Day and See Your Life in a Whole New Way". I also have a couple of friends who does this already.Infact, I am so excited to do this project as well.I really don't have the reason not to do this. It's truly inspiring to see the result at the end of the year and look back all the fun things we do through the photos we captured. Today I want to start this project and I hope I could continue doing it. Oh the other hand, I bet will be sharing my first set of photos taken earlier today. We went to Arboretum and it was just so much fun.There are also a lot of activities for kids,so they won't get bored. I was really drawn to the flowers,so hubby and Josh did something else. My little guy really enjoyed the petting zoo. He was a little late for face painting,so he wasn't able to get one today. Here are some of the photos I captured!

Gotta Party

It's going to be Joshua's B-day tomorrow. We invited a few close friends to join us celebrate. My little guy is so super excited since last week. He's so fascinated with Spongebob so he picked this as his b-day theme. This is actually a double celebration because my younger sister is also going to get married tomorrow. Too sad I won't be able to attend her wedding because I am obviously 10,000 miles away from my family. But sending her best wishes and of course my ultimate present is on the way.
So we went to Party City yesterday and grab some spongebob stuff for his b-day from the party favors to the Pinata. Everything is ready and he can't wait for his party.

Transworld Futures

For 2 years hubby had been doing Day Trading. I told him last year to quit doing it for awhile since his profit wasn't consistent. He lost some of his savings and it was pretty sad. Now he is still hunting for a better futures broker and is interested to give it another shot. I will just hope for the best that he can pull it off this time. His friend convinced him to invest on this whole trading thing and now he is quite addicted to it.

AI: Ramiele Voted Off

Last year I was so busy at work that I don't even have time to watch my favorite shows at night. I totally missed a lot like the American Idol. I was just too tired to watch it. I hardly get 8 hours of sleep,so 4-5 hours of sleep was very precious. But this year I am glad I have extra time to watch it already. I am hooked with Dancing With The Stars, American Idol and The Moment of Truth. Oh well last night was AI's elimination round and I am a little sad that Ramiele was voted off. I am truly aware that it will come to this point. One should be voted off every Wednesday and it was her time to go. Her performances were always safe and I totally agree with Simon.We are all waiting for that knock out performance,but somehow it didn't happen yet. I do admire her voice and isn't she cute? I am not sure who's my favorite now that she's gone. Both David A. and David C. have a potential to win,so we will see. Good luck to the rest who are still in the running to win the title.

Orlando Attractions

The most exciting part this year is our upcoming family vacation. Myke's schedule hasn't really been this good and he really wanted this personal time off. Now that my little one is ready to visit places like Disneyworld and Seaworld so we planned on going next month to Seaworld first. One of the reasons we were not in a hurry to take him to places like this is that we want him to be ready and in the right age to be able to enjoy it. I believe 6 years old and beyond must be not hard to handle because all they want is to have fun. So all the money to be spend for this particualar vacation is worth it. A few things everyone should consider is a place to stay in. My little guy has a hard time adopting new places and he has hard time sleeping too. The remedy we can think of is find a place where it feels like home. We might consider staying at Lake Buena Vista Hotels . Not to mention that they're really close to any of the Orlando Attractions like the Orlando Convention Center, SeaWorld®, Universal Studios®, and the Florida Mall. It's very convenient to be near any of these places and yeah who would want to miss shopping. I would definitely want to be close to any of the Orlando attractions. It's an advantage to stay in hotels like this because if you don't know your way around,then it won't be hard to locate them because they're right there in the heart of the city. That's what I like about visiting other cities to be able to see what they have. There's also an upcoming event in Orlando called the “2008 American Urological Association Annual Meeting” and anyone who will visit the city Orlando Vista Hotel would be a perfect choice. They're more than willing to accomodate attendees. So look no further because they offer great rates. Enjoy your stay while you're there!

What phone to get

Hubby and I are certainly unhappy of our phone service provider right now. I can't wait for our 2 year contract to end lol. My phone needs to be replaced as well. I am also debating what phone to get. There are three that caught my eye so far and it's the Blackberry Pearl white,Nokia 5300 XP Music-Lilac,and the Motorola KRZR 1.

These are definitely my type of colors and the white one is really looking good. My recent one is red and the color is fading already and scratches are everywhere. When you have a 5 year old,who certainly knows how to operate a mobile phone already.So expect it to be not perfect because my little guy is partly an owner too.

I really don't have complains with Nokia products and I am very much happy with the phones I had owned so far. But I would definitely love to have this blackberry white. This motorola one is ok and I love the colors too. Either way I bet these are all great phones. I will just have to wait for our contract to end soon,so I can buy my new phone. We are also switching back to our old provider because our recent one is just a PITA.
