I intend to stay home yesterday because my family has been outside successively in the past few weeks and my skin is totally dark. Plus we still got a lot of plans to do this whole summer, so that's why my family needs rest. We are just too excited to enjoy summer this year and the heat doesn't seem to bother us, especially my little guy. There hasn't been much to do yesterday either,so when boredom strikes I find myself playing with my camera. I can't think of anything, but to shoot droplets. I truly admire what others achieved shooting tiny droplets. I find it fascinating to experiment sometimes.

Mom just recently mentioned she wants to renovate our old house and possibly buy new exterior shutters. She's the queen of the house so it's her call when to beautify it. I find it really hard to pick what stuff to put in. But I trust my mom and I know she just wanted our house to look presentable, especially I am planning to visit there next year. It sure does need planning, but I believe the renovation will be done in no time. I just told her about what stores to go to and I bet she would love the affordable and fabulous selections they have.
Joshua is too little for these rides, so we decided to focus in the water park and watch shows as much as we can. Hubby was dying to ride on one of these, but we don't have a choice but to pick the ones Joshua can ride with us too. If hubby and I got a chance to ride and knowing how high it is I would still be very hesitant to do it. I don't know if I would be thrilled to be up there. It's just way scary to me, but looking at the people up there it seemed like they're really having fun. Maybe one day I will be less fearful and adventurous enough to try it!

When we visited San Antonio Downtown last week hubby was so persuasive to see The Alamo first. I have a little knowledge about the city's history, but hubby was nice to educate me and it was great seeing the place up close. We then perused the popular river walk and had our dinner over there. No doubt the city has definitely a Spanish feel to it. We also noticed the vendors nearby and we had to buy Josh an ice cone. The purpose of the trip was for SeaWorld Adventure, but we chose to stay in downtown to see part of the city, but we're definitely going back there. Our time was very limited so I hope next time we could plan to stay for at least a week to see the rest. It's only 4 and a half hour drive, so driving over there isn't that bad. It's also nice to see the neighboring towns and cities. If only I were rich, then I won't hesitate to hire a private jet charter next time I'll go back there. Oh yeah that sounds really great!
When my dad was still working as a manager at H&H the company's favorite giveaways are hats, shirts and pens. Every month they have a promotional tour around town of course everyone, who attends will get a little something from the company. After the lecture the attendees would also get a free lunch. I had attended once or twice and helped distribute the gift bags, which includes promotional pens. They're custom designed pens and it's definitely a keeper!
After what happened to my computer last 2 weeks ago; hubby's friend suggested maybe next time we will try one of the computers he built. I just want a great PC right now and yeap it was scary when it got corrupted. I am so glad Bill was able to retrieve my files, especially the ones that weren't backed up. He was such a great help. I definitely don't have that techie side of me, so hubby and I just rely on him. No idea what to do if I lost my stuff, so now having 2 external hard drives really help a lot. Any of these computer related equipments are really important. When my family needs a new router I sent them one right away. You can't beat the price of this used cisco available online.
Josh and I went to the park the other day and check out what I captured. My hands were shaking because I thought the insect would fly off right away, but I was lucky it stayed on one of the branches, so I was able to take a few shots. I also got my computer back the other day, so everything is back to normal now. I could finally edit my photos smoothly. Just downloaded a few new actions and some are free ones. I was able to play a bit awhile ago and I love the results so far. I just heard my sister is also doing great with her pregnancy and she just applied for a maternity insurance. I am really happy everything went well. The same thing I want with my parents once they're here I would want them to have a better insurance, especially they're not getting any younger. At the end medicare advantage plans would be of great help!
I sincerely love pearls. I had a chance to work with fashion jewelry designers last 4 years ago and I had so much fun learning how to design. I wish I was able to stay, but since school was my priority that time, so I had to quit. But I can still design jewelry I believe even though I haven't touched my tools for quite awhile. I even still have materials left that I could use if I want to one of these days. I remember they went to India just to purchase precious stones for their upcoming shows and were just mesmerized with how wonderful they were. I am very lucky to own a few and my skills helped me create some for my friends and family. I've also heard Tahitian pearls are so unique and simply magnificent. I saw some jewelry today that I really liked and check these out aren't they impressive. They're definitely one of a kind!

I invited my friend and her kids to come by earlier today because I am having a small b-day party. I decided to hold it in the park, so the kids could also play. After almost 2 hours of playing the kids are just worn out. I am glad I was able to celebrate it still, though it's kind of late since we were on a trip last June 17th,which is officially my birth date. So belated happy birthday to me. Everything went great and I am glad it didn't rain as what was predicted. Just a quick post to remember the event!
It's important to have the most comfortable working shoes, especially when you stand all day. When I work as a hostess in the hospital before my feet were terribly hurting the first few months; our manager introduced a set of working shoes and I ordered one for myself and I am glad I did. I had to work 12 hours a day and having a shoes, that wasn't so comfortable just totally ruined my day. Hubby certainly needs one of this work boots too. I heard him complained the other day about his right big toe, that's hurting so bad. He might like this stuff I stumbled upon earlier. You can't beat the durability of these work boots and they aren't too expensive.
I just recently came back from a trip with my family and all I can say is that we totally had a blast at SeaWorld. I also turned 28 last 2 days ago. There wasn't a formal celebration yet since we were at SeaWorld that day. So I am hoping to invite a few friends to celebrate it with me maybe tomorrow. I would love to share some of the photos I took while we were at the dolphin Cove. This was my little boy's choice to go first, which we also favored. Our time spent there was totally worth it. Our trip was planned so well and our expenses are pretty reasonable, though maybe next time it would be wise to have travel insurance. These photos are fresh from my camera. I also attached a video of my little guy while feeding the dolphins. Take a look!

When we got home late last night I went ahead and checked the Lilypad right away. I saw Natalie B. has a new element pack, which is called the favorite flip flops. Oh aren't they cute? Here I am again drooling over these cute embellishments. I think they're way adorable. It sucks that I can't scrap because my computer is still not fixing. I plan to download all my scrapbooking/editing software and new printer here temporarily. No idea when is my computer going to be fixed. I just recently downloaded my digital camera/video cam drivers in this computer too. I don't want to get stuck without having my PC this week. Plus I got tons of photos to edit. I stumbled a few accessories, while browsing at this one store and saw this CAT5e. I am quite impressed of its features.
Sorry for the long absence, but my family went for a trip to San Antonio Sea world from Sunday-Tuesday. We totally loved it there, especially Joshua. We ended up buying a season ticket because we want to go back there again before the end of the year. It was around 100 degrees in San Antonio and it seemed the heat doesn't really bother everyone. I think all the shows we went to were just amazing. I would love to share some of the videos I took. We're definitely digging it. We wished our 3 day trip didn't end that quickly, but hoping we could make a few trips in between July to December. A 4 and a half drive wasn't that bad at all. I am still working on the videos/photos to be uploaded in my PC and Flickr, so I will share it in my next post sometime this week. Thank you all for the birthday greetings. An update of the event will follow!
-----UPDATED-----

OMG, I am can't just stop admiring these enamel stackable rings I stumbled upon earlier. Hubby just responded with a smile when he saw me browsing for rings. He knows my birthday is fast approaching and who knows he might change his mind and surprise me with any of these. I'm just so in love with the vivid colors and stylish designs these rings have. Any of these items here would undoubtedly fit with my outfits I purchased recently. My personal picks would be the Aqua Enamel Ring with 14k Gold Plated Guard and the Lime Green Enamel Ring with Raised X Pattern. They are all very affordable too. Don't miss the 20% off coupon just for signing up. So if you have friends and loved ones, who are celebrating this month; you better buy them something special, that they would treasure forever.

My photo printer is finally delivered today including hubby's new camera. He actually indeed up getting a Canon PowerShot SD1100IS 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom. He paid a pretty reasonable amount for this package and I can't wait to set up my printer. I won't be able to use it yet, since my PC is still not working. The thing that I like about my printer too is that is has auto correction for poorly exposed photos using Auto Photo Correction with advanced face detection. This serves as my early birthday present too!
Hubby has gone to work and here I am again trying to use his PC. Bill is still working on my computer and I am really hoping it would be available by next week. We're also done purchasing all the stuff we need for our trip this weekend. So now I am just going to squeeze in my online tasks as quick as possible. I've been browsing for an hour and stumbled upon this site, which has an amazing selection of patio furniture. If you're going to ask me how's our patio? We got too many junks after we moved in here and it became our storage space. It's so not organize as of this time and I am dying to give that patio a makeover.
I'll be out of town for 3 days next week, so if you don't hear from me, then I am in a trip to Sea world. I didn't realize I am almost out of paper supplies, so I need to go back to Joanne's again to purchase more stuff. I am thinking maybe after our short trip next week since I will be very busy preparing for our trip. I am also waiting for my printer to be delivered, but since my PC is not yet fixing it might take awhile before I can start creating my hybrid projects. Here's what I accomplished last weekend Joshua's baby diary. I just added a few embellishments on my favorite pages,so it looked much better now.

If you wonder why I haven't updated for about 5 days it's because my computer is not at home as of this moment. Hubby took it to his techie friend because it won't start up correctly last weekend. I kept getting this message files has been missing or corrupted. All I did was installed the w-packet3 update and my computer froze up; when I restarted it my PC won't run anymore. It's kind of expected already that it would take this long before I can get my PC back. Since Bill the guy who's going to fix it said my computer is really corrupted. So I am trying to make a post today using hubby's computer.
Here's Bill's reply this morning:
"I worked on your computer some last night and this morning. The XP operating system files are very corrupted and won't let your computer start up correctly. I have tried restoring the files, but there is more wrong than meets the eye. I will look at it more this evening and see if I can trick it into running again.
If I can't get it going I will need the Dell Restoration Discs for this computer to reinstall the operating system and Dell software. I can copy the data from the hard drive and copy it back after the reinstall is complete."
I don't know what else my PC needs I just hope Bill would be able to retrieve important files like my photos, scrapbooking stuff, photo actions, etc. I also need to upgrade the computer memory to insure the performance is much better once it's fix. He said to prevent these types of problems is to back up my data files, which I did months earlier.Yeah it's hard to keep up since I have new files everyday and some of them aren't backed up.I was going to do it last weekend, but it was too late.
The whole day yesterday I was just looking for something different to do from what I used to. After I was done with all my house chores I went ahead and find something to alter. I saw some interesting boxes in my dresser and thought these would be perfect for my embellishments like flowers, alphas, brads, charms and buttons. I've been doing this for days and I can't just stop creating from one project to another. You will be seeing more in the future including my hybrid albums and I would love to share it.

I was so excited when I saw Jofia's new kit "The Artist Workshop". She came up with such an amazing set again. I just love the realistic look of the elements with this kit and now I could finally scrap Joshua's artwork. It's on sale now for $4.20 so check out her store at the Digichick. So far the layouts that had been posted using this kit are just marvelous and each one is very creative. We actually just bought Josh a flipping tabletop easel the other day and he's been showing off his artwork to us. He just loves to get dirty and do his thing. I can't wait to finally scrap it.
On the other hand, I was browsing online to check out vacation packages. Who knows in the next few months we will be going to any of the top destinations of the world. I stumbled upon St. Thomas villa rentals and it looks like a great place to stay in. Must be a perfect summer fun!
I finally made personalized cards for my guys. I had so much fun creating this one. My little guy seems to like it a lot seeing me cutting stuff and gluing the embellishments together. I also let him be part of this activity too and he actually came up with something fun. But it was a little messy because he used so much glue on almost every element. It was a great time to bond with my little guy and we're definitely doing it over again as long as we are having fun. More card details here.

Hubby can't really seem to figure out my rebel and he doesn't like the huge lens that comes with it. I can see how uncomfortable he is everytime he takes photos and the result is camera shake. It's not just his thing and that's why he wanted to have a P&S camera for himself.Plus he also wants to take short clips at the same time. He definitely wants this one before we go to Seaworld. He is been eyeing between Canon PowerShot S5 IS and the PowerShot SX100 IS. I just read the reviews in Amazon and a lot of them recommend Powershot S5 IS. I bet he would probably buy this one instead of the SX100. Yippee, for hubby!
...and we will be going to San Antonio Seaworld. Hubby finally booked our trip and we're just so excited to go there and my little guy always talks about it everyday. I am glad we were able to purchase a pretty reasonable price for this vacation package. If not with the discount they offerred online we could have paid more. It's been confirmed and everything is set already including the hotel, where we're going to stay. There are still a few things to buy like a handy camera for hubby because he can't figure out my rebel lol. Maybe purchase new clothes for my little guy, accessories for myself, and other important things for the trip. Can't wait to get away for awhile!
I think it's just about time to visit my friend in New Jersey. She's wanted me to visit there last year, but didn't really have the time to take some time off.I was just too busy at work and hopefully I could make it this year. She also mentioned the places we're going to visit and she suggested this coming summer would be perfect. I am kind of skeptical at first and asked her about the Things to do in New Jersey and she said don't worry because there a lot of things to see and to enjoy, especially in Morey’s Piers. She mentioned Radio Disney has a Summer Concert Series and no doubt the kids would really love it. I was just browsing the website and Raven Symone from "That's So Raven" will be performing live along with the hottest rising stars. The good thing about it is that the concert is FREE, which will take place in Wildwood, New Jersey at Morey’s Piers. How cool is that! We're definitely not going to miss new jersey water park as well. My little guy just love to go there and it's also an ideal time for the adults to get together, enjoy and relax. It sounds like we have an exciting month ahead!
I've been having problems with our printer lately,so I can't print papers and embellishments for my hybrid projects yet. Hubby decided to just buy me a new printer instead. Hoping we could set it up this weekend.I also went to the craft store to buy tools and extra embellishments for my future altered/hybrid projects. When I got home I was just so excited and actually started tinkering with my stuff. The result is I had been able to create a few projects. I had decorated my coin box, journal, embellishment box,and also finished the cover of my son's photobook. Here are the samples and the rest of my creations will be shared next time.
