So I was just browsing Cuff-Daddy and noticed the elegance of their Antique Cufflink Set with Siam Crystal and Platinum Overlay right away. We will be out of town next Monday and possibly be shooting wildlife. I really considered buying this lens the EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM, but since I found a great place in FW, where I could rent lenses. I might as well do that first to see if this is what I really want to purchase next time. I am still hoping I could get the one with IS, which is the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM. Crossing my fingers I could decide what to buy ASAP. 
My parents just celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary and everything went really well. I am their first fruit of love, so I am very proud that they are still so much in love. Yeah their relationship is of course surrounded with ups and downs, but over the years I think they've learned so much. The celebration won't be complete if there wasn't a big party. Since they're heading to 30 years I made sure this year is also special to both of them. They will never run out of people to assist them on this special event. I for one was in charged with their anniversary invitations for sure. They know I love to design invitation cards, but since I was really busy I decided to just order customized Invitations at Vista print. I was trying to finish up one card earlier. I really love how this turned out and love photographing the details close up. I've been drooling over the hybrid templates lately too and I think that's what I am going to buy soon if I have the time to do it. It's easier that way because I will just have to print the templates and start from there. Creating from scratch is just impossible as of this time. I got too many things on the way that some of my projects aren't taking care of. This is all for now! Just want to share what I had created earlier!
Isn't modern technology amazing? Now that we rely to it I don't think we can live without it. Hubby is a great example on how he always makes sure it's safe to drive our car. Every time there's a problem with our car he wants it taking care of right away. Sometimes we don't notice these flaws and if I were you do a monthly check. We recently have 3 cars and our little Honda has a bad transmission. So technically we got 2 running. There were a few mistakes we had made and we regretted buying that civic, though it's pretty reasonable to have it this time. The point is we want to make changes and stick with the other two that are more reliable. There might also be a few upgrades we want to focus on and we definitely consider having a turbocharger. I know we have people we admire and looked up to and most of them really excelled on each of their field. Not to mention big names we hear everyday, which are tremendously successful. Don't we want to be like them? I believe the best and easiest way to advance ourselves to a professional career is to get a Cisco certification. You should be living under the rock if you don't know that the demand for IT professionals is growing. I have thought over this in the last few months that I should be serious now about which career path to follow. We all have dreams in life and want to be successful one day, especially aspiring college students, who are just starting to build up something for their future. The Cisco learning network has a lot to offer and you should consider any of the IT certification programs if you want to enhance your career. I've heard some positive feedbacks and it's been a life changing experience to the people who have gone through the training and never hesitated to get certified. Finding a job is not an easy task you need to show them that you have what it takes to be a great fit. What makes you a great addition to the company? You need to have the proper training and the knowledge to pull through. It's always an advantage to be able to contribute something. You can't go wrong with any of Cisco's programs and if you have the passion to do it, so go for it. It's never too late to make it happen! 
It's Joshua's third week of his ice skating class and he is really doing great. He just loves to be out there and have fun. We kind of consider him taking private lessons. Myke has a friend, whose daughter is an experienced ice skater and she might be able to teach Joshua during her free time. She offered the last time we met and I hope we could arrange an after school schedule. My all around lens is too bad in low light,so I had used the canon power shot and most of the photos just came out too grainy. I so want a new lens right now probably a Canon L lens with IS. This was Joshua's first ice skating fall! 
I am quite proud to talk about Alzheimer's disease and would possibly take part on this event this coming fall. Having to witness a loved one who suffered dementia is really tough. I had so many questions about this when I was younger and mom was brave enough to explain the result of this disease. The truth is that everyone in the family handled it well. It was hard to let someone go, especially grand dad doesn't have an ounce of memory left to remember, that he was surrounded with people who have nothing but love and care. As we all know Alzheimer is a brain disease of unknown cause that is the most common form of dementia. Isn't it sad to see someone we loved suffer on this kind of disease? The least we could do is to help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care. There are a lot of ways to help and why not support the Alzheimer's Memory Walk. This is such a special event, so volunteers of all ages let us all participate. I know we could do much better and a 2-3 mile walk won't hurt at all. Look on the brighter side and see its purpose. 
I feel like I am running out of time. I haven't even started printing my old scrap booking layouts plus there are still more projects I want to accomplish. When Joshua starts school I would really want to give time on this. One day I have all the excitement to do this and that and the following day I find myself busy doing something else. I was browsing Joanne's and found a few albums I love. I am such a sucker of bows and I really love how these 3 albums look. Hubby wanted me to print photos as well, so I definitely need to buy new albums soon. I guess I will just take my time and personalized it the way I wanted it to be. 
I am in the process of starting a new blog mainly for travel photos. I just want to showcase the most interesting photos I will encounter each day. I thought of revamping my other blog and I have realized how unflattering the platform is. The whole set up is just really messed up. The thing that turns me off is the endless spamming in my message box. When the spam started pouring in I stopped posting and thought of moving my contents to a new platform. I ended up moderating the comments as well, which turned out really a task everyday. As a mom there are still a lot of things to do during the day and not just be stuck moderating. I don't intend to abandon my old blog, but I hope there's an easy way to import the contents of it. I had this planned last month and I am kind of stuck unless I can make sure everything will be moved properly. So here I am again looking for a cheap web hosting. Crossing my fingers here that everything will go smoothly. I believe these guys are dependable and can count on them and yeah got to love the free domains with web hosting. All I can say is that California rocks hubby loves it there. He used to live their on his early 30s and moved to Texas when the rest of the siblings settled here. When Pam announced the reunion is going to be at LA everyone was just very excited. I can't really measure the fun we have this year and the places we had been to is just memorable. We have one more place my family would love to visit before summer ends and that's in Fossil Rim. You can't just beat a wonderful scenic drive and see animals in their natural environment. When fall starts we plan to visit any of these following states namely Utah, Las Vegas and Arizona. I don't really have to worry since I am pretty much aware of the things to do in Las Vegas. We've been pretty good with our expenses this year and spend part of it to short trips, which my family really enjoyed. Isn't it fun that everyone in the family take part on this kind of activity? I just love how wise are we now when it comes to stuff like this. Knowing how it easy it is to just search everything on the internet from online travel guides, tours and attractions, to vacation packages. The other day it was 107 degrees and felt like I was thrown to a burning oven. The heat is just so unbearable lately and I am glad we went to the water park earlier. Hubby is off today, so he was able to come with us and it was fun to see my little guy having a blast. No doubt that was the perfect place for the whole family and I can't imagine going somewhere else. We definitely had a great time! 
Wow the last time I sent balikbayan box to my family I paid $120 and now the medium box is already $174. At least I don't have to worry sending packages to my family again since we have one company here now that I can trust. I had a terrible experience sending balikbayan box to pinas. My family had been waiting for 6 months I don't know what's the problem on their end, but it was something I don't want to experience again. The person I negotiated with was totally not dependable. I am glad the year after my family was able to receive it on time. I love to send gifts before Christmas and I bet this year they will be surprised again.

When my parents renovated their house the main goal was to create a warm and friendly ambiance indoor and outdoor. They had been very creative with the lighting fixtures all throughout the house and it definitely means a whole lot. Who would have thought that by adding a simple accessory would make a difference. Achieving what my family wanted really makes everyone happy. You would be surprised how wonderful these lightings are and I do love the selections of the crystal chandeliers my mom picked. I am just flabbergasted with the result.

I just found out that Jofia is not selling at TDC anymore, so I had to search where she's at. Fortunately, she's selling at Shabby Pickle now. I just had to check a few stuff from her store and found these perfect summer set. I hope these designers won't move from one store to another in a short period of time. I don't normally register to too many stores, but since I love her stuff, so I will register to this store and I hope she will settle here for good. I can only name a few stores that I frequent and it's easier to keep track of their designs if they will remain in their store for quite awhile. So this means I will be scrapping in the next few days!
I can still remember how crazy my younger sisters were when Meteor Garden was aired in ABS-CBN. If I am not mistaken it was like 5 years ago that the Meteor Garden a (Taiwanese Drama) was popularized in my country. This Taiwanese drama truly touched many teenagers' hearts and even adults are watching this show day after day. Due to my busy schedule I totally forgot about this drama and no chance to watch it until recently when my friend mentioned it to me and I was convinced to watch it last week. Oh yeah and didn't I have just sleepless nights. I think the MG1 is very compelling and I just love Shancai's character. The F4 is truly a charm and it was wonderful watching it. I am so glad I watched it and every time I remember a cute scene like the endless fights between Dao and Shancai I can't just stop smiling. There's also a sequel MG2 but it wasn't as good as MG1. I would say stick watching to MG1. I know a lot of you out there are fans of F4 and the beautiful Barbie Xu. This is definitely one of the best drama's I've seen.
I've been so busy this week attending Joshua's summer classes namely ice skating, swimming and gymnastics. I think we've got the perfect summer programs for my little guy to enjoy. Joshua being able to interact with other kids is really important and our time spent on all three classes is really worth it. I can't ask for more all I can say is I am proud of him and no doubt he did great. I can't wait to see his progress at the end of the summer. On the other hand, Josh and I had a picnic earlier this week and here are a few shots. 
I was just browsing Etsy (PhatStraps) not long ago and found this camera accessory kit. I've wanted to change my original strap because the old one I have is giving me an irritation to the back of my neck. I want something soft especially my lenses are a bit heavier to carry around. I also like the idea of having a camera wrist wrap. This kit I found is just perfect. I had seen a few ones that I also love and the fabric used is definitely stylish. I really love the design of this set too. I will wait later this week to decide what to get.
We always find time to do something together as a family on weekends and one of our favorite places to go is the White Rock Lake. We've visited a few other state parks as well, but us kind of stick to the one which is closer from where we live. Hubby gets so bored easily, that he needs to unwind outside and do something fun. It's a great way to relax, enjoy and get away from our computers as well and not get stuck inside. You know I love taking photos so it's so cool to plan something like this over the weekend.
One of the few things Josh and I love to do is really going to the park. We love to bring food and have a picnic over there and spent the rest of our time playing. No doubt I have an active 5 year old boy, so he needed that freedom to be outside and just really having fun. I do like it too and it's great to be active once in awhile and used up all the energy we got. Of course it won't be a perfect outdoor fun without taking photos. I could always find something to photograph anything that interests me. 
Joshua and I just got home from his swimming class. His instructor told me he has really improved a lot. Oh I am just so proud of my little guy. He is having so much fun out there and I can't just ask for another class he going to be in this summer. I think swimming class is just perfect for him. We hurried back home because we still got a lot of things to do today.
Guess where I am at when we got home of course on my PC. My sister left a message earlier and since I wasn't around, so I missed it. I would love to catch her later then. I went ahead and browse a few stores online and found some cute stuff like this gold anklet. I promised to send gifts to my family this year and I bet they wouldn't mind if I will include some of these in the package. 
It's sure is a delight to capture some of these. I don't see them everyday unless I will go to the arboretum, lakes or the botanical garden. But it was a pleasure to visit most of the places I mentioned last spring. What's not to love about these; they're bright, lovely, fresh, and beautiful. I am glad I was quick enough to hunt them down. Oh yeah, did I mention I hurt my knee one time because I was following a dragonfly and even though it was hard to shoot a small flying object I still kept running until I tripped.
For years I had been trained to create handmade custom jewelry and I would say that I had enjoyed that experience so much. Never did it occur to me that I will be designing stuff and the jewelry that I had created will be sold to an expensive store. I was so happy that the designers I worked with enjoyed whatever I came up with. Sadly, I had to leave because I was going to school by that time and I had to prioritize my school more than work. I sure miss the people I had worked with and I am very thankful I was able to have that experience. Maybe one day I can play with my stuff again and can show you some of my designs. My passion has shifted to digital photography now and I would want to invest my time on this. But believe me I am such a huge fan of unique and eclectic jewelry pieces just like these stuff I stumbled upon earlier and it's called the Celtic jewelry. These totally caught my eye awhile ago, so take a peek!
I thought Joshua would be so over of his fear of the fireworks. We always seem to miss the great show and the finale most of the time and last July 4th was no exception. Now that he is 5 years old he is not over it yet. Yeah, it was kind of a bummer since we waited until 9:30pm just to watch the fireworks show. When the show started him was teary eyed and we had to leave right away. I am glad we did go to the fair park earlier, so at least we were able to play games and enjoy the rides. But overall this year's July 4th celebration had been great.
I am not aware of anyone in my family who has acne problems. I guess we're lucky enough not to deal with any of those imperfections. Thanks to my parents great genes! My beauty routine is quite simple all I need to have is a moisturizer, toner and cleanser. Apply a little bit of mascara and lip gloss on, and then I am good to go. Unless I will attend a very special event, then I would make myself a little more presentable. I've seen commercials claiming their products would work, but to those women who have acne problems I sure hope you can find the best acne treatment available out there. This is really something we should pay attention to. Buy the best products and see the amazing results.
I don't know what happened last night, but I had a terrible stomach ache and I wasn't able to sleep. I woke up late today and it came to my realization, that it's my cleaning day. So I forced myself to clean up a little bit and organized Joshua's toys and throw some of his junks. He tends to keep these free toys, which he gets every time we buy kid's meal. I just can't keep them anymore, so I went ahead and tossed them away. He actually agreed that it's time to get rid of that stuff and of course he was very possessive of his real toys. I am amazed of what I have accomplished today and I am almost done. I am just taking a break cleaning, so I have to do a few tasks here online and be back to my chores in a bit. I also have to finalize our trip to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center next week. It's a scenic wildlife drive and if we have enough time we would love to swing by at the Dinosaur World or the Dinosaur Valley State Park as well. We are really trying to do as many activities this year because once Joshua will start school then trips like this is going to be very limited already. We are also planning to go to Utah at winter time and yeah can't beat the summer beach vacation in Hilton Head Island. I've heard this is one of South Carolina's beautiful islands. We decided to watch fireworks tonight at Fair Park instead of going to the Trinity River Fiesta. To me it's just more of a family-friendly event and since we're familiar of the place that might help Joshua not to get bored while waiting for the fireworks show at around 9:30pm. Starting at 5pm. today all fair park museums are open and there are also a lot of games for everyone to enjoy. Other scheduled shows for tonight are definitely a must see. I am looking forward to seeing more this year and it would be great if this event will be followed by a family summer beach vacation. That sounds really awesome and yeah I know exactly where to go for a travel guide.
I tried to take Josh to the park yesterday, but even at around 6pm. it was still hot outside. Oh yeah nothing new about the dreaded heat in Texas and it gets insanely up to 103 degrees sometimes. Yesterday it was high of 93 degrees and my little guy and I were all sweaty. But he was unstoppable and still wanting to play, so I let him play. We were quite busy yesterday because he had his swimming class in the morning, then run some errands, went to the mall and then later that day we went to the park. It was just about time for daddy to come home and we were probably 20 minutes earlier and he didn't realize we were out all day. He knows I don't go out that much, so he was surprised we were gone that long. After my little guy settled for the night I was browsing a bit and stumbled upon an equestrian clothing store, which has wonderful selections of horse clothing, horse/rider equipment, rider riding apparel and sportswear.
Josh and I went to Target earlier just to buy this art table that he saw online. He really wanted it so bad, that I can't say no and ended up buying it. When I showed it to daddy he seems to really like it a lot, so no worries. If there are three things that Joshua really loves to do and is good at; I would say it's definitely dancing,singing and doodling. As a mom yeah I can tell he would excel in any of these areas. You know he is only 5 years old, but his drawings are simply artistic and his interpretation of his artwork is just marvelous. Here's Josh,who's so engrossed with his artwork!
My family enjoys watching this show so much and guessing the puzzles at the same time are sure so much fun. Joshua is the one who is really addicted to the WOF online game. Maybe one day this boy will be on the show; he just loves it so much. Family time is really important to us and a short time to gather around watching shows like this does make a difference.
On the other hand, I was pretty excited to hear from my sister earlier today. They finally bought the house and lot that they've been wanting since last year. My sister just got married and it's good to see her really doing great with her life as well. She's also expecting a baby and everything is just perfect. I reminded her to really save and don't spend more than what they earn. As mortgage lenders they have a huge responsibility now and the years to come. It's better to have something in the future than nothing.
I am so proud of my little guy today. He did great on his first session of his swimming class. He was a bit a shy at first, but afterwards he was very into it already. He can't wait for next week's class again. The instructor told me that their goal is for Joshua to at least hold his breath for 40 seconds and today Joshua did hold his breath for 10 seconds. That was a pretty great start. I am glad we enrolled him this year. I am just very happy for him. I really want him to be involved this summer, so he won't get bored. His daddy won't mind paying for stuff like this as long as he is having fun. Taking him to classes like this is definitely a priority just like getting a life insurance for kids. Who else can benefit his hardwork, so it's going to be my son? He definitely had a blast with our activity today.
