My dear cousin in Canada asked a favor if I could create a few card for his daughter's birthday. I showed him a few sample and now he is so persuasive that I need to create some this month. I just really do this for fun, so why not. I would love to visit him one day, but since we still have other priorities right now, I cannot plan a trip that quick. I am sure it's definitely not next year because I will be vacationing pinas by that time.
Moving on, I am so excited about out weekend plan. Joshua got a free ticket to the State Fair from his teacher, so I hope we could go to that event first this week. Yay, I finally subscribed to this one magazine I like and I can't wait to get my first copy next month. There are really so many things to get excited about he-he even small things like that can makes me happy.

I totally forgot this showtime kit that I have in my stash for years now. In fact, this was offered a freebie and I can't recall who made it. I have wanted to create a layout of Joshua's favorite movie, so I used a few selected embellishments from the kit to finish this layout. Joshua and I both love this movie, so this would be great to include in our family scrap album. You know what I still have an allergy in my face and I don't really have an option, but to stay home for a while. My little guy is in school for seven hours, so that would give me enough time to accomplish things around here. It's so hard sometimes when you have your little one, who is very clingy most of the time. I was also able to give time rearranging my work space and it's looking good now so far.
Oh yeah, least I forget if you're in need of various linear motion Cross Roller Slide Assemblies. You might find what you're looking for at Reid Supply.
It is time for the pumpkin festival again in arboretum. We are looking forward to attending one of their events each year. I know the pumpkin patch will be a lot of fun. They have this 15-foot pumpkin house that the kids would really love. One of Joshua's favorite is the face painting session, the petting zoo, arts and crafts. They also have the scavenger hunts for the bigger kids to enjoy. This coming weekend would be perfect!
Today we plan to drive down to Fort Worth. The Omni Theater at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is celebrating its 25th birthday from Thursday through Sunday. Mike wants to visit there today because they have a "flashback" celebration, which includes a return to 1983 prices and tickets are $4 for adults and $2.50 for kids, so that would be a great family activity today.
-------------------------------Scrapbooking-------------------
I was also able to scrap last night, so here are a few I would love to share today!
Ah, what a bummer. I think all this time that the balloon festival is going to be early October. But we totally missed it and I guess I will just look forward to attending next year's festival then. I called my friend and let her know about it and we plan on going to the State Fair instead. It depends on, when is Mike going to be available, so we could keep going and decide when is the best time to go there. It's still really bummed me out of not being able to keep track of the correct schedule of this particular event. I was dying to take photos of the balloons and the fireworks. Oh well I know there's still more to come.
On the other hand, I mentioned earlier about that allergic reaction I had to this moisturizer I bought last week. Last night was no exception and the itchiness was intense. I just washed it to make sure it's fresh before going to sleep. Our face needs to be taking care of because they're very sensitive and it's always the first view people will see when you interact with them. I can't imagine other people screaming for acne cure; if ever they're unlucky enough to be infected with this kind of skin disorder. I am glad mine is just a minor form of skin rashes.
Ideas of projects to create are pouring in. It's just really time is what's lacking to devote to this kind of hobby. But I always like it when I am in my creative mood. It's a relief when my loved ones also appreciate what I do; especially I spend a lot of time creating it. I originally started digital scrap booking and somehow embrace the traditional style just recently. There's somewhat an addiction now to gluing, cutting and putting it all together. It's just another crafty Saturday here at home!

I do believe that picking out the best home decors and perfect home accessories really help enhance the look of our homes; it could be indoor our outdoor. Some are really stylish in their own way and can always pull off using even the cheapest items they could find. It all depends on how you use the product and if you're very creative you can have a stellar result. Just by adding decorative lighting that could definitely give a different feel and friendly ambiance to your place; no doubt about that!
Joshua had an one day break last week and we were able to bond and set up a few activities last Friday. After visiting a couple of friends and relatives we then proceeded to the park to play. My little guy is always exhausted after school and he absolutely needs a break. We did a little shopping too and purchased a few items for school and winter outfits. We then visited the clinic to schedule his immunization for Rubeola-dose2. I was the one who got dizzy with our route yesterday and it was a busy Friday indeed. Here are a few photos I would love to share today. Have a great weekend!
I am having an allergic reaction to this new moisturizer I purchased recently. I didn't pay attention to the redness of my face, but yesterday was absolutely noticeable already and was bothered of the constant itchiness. I was exposed to the sun a little bit and when we got home it got worse. I wasn't able to sleep thinking of my face he-he. I might stay inside in the next couple of days while it's healing. I never had this happened to me before, so I suspected it was really this moisturizer I purchased. I guess this is not something serious compare to others, who are experiencing other facial problems like acne and they can always have acne pills to take. I might consult an expert if I don't see any changes in the next few days!
I have approached a few family members and friends to order some of these items for Joshua's school fundraising. This is our first year to be involved with this, so it was quite a task convincing our friends to help my little guy earn something. We didn't reach our goal but it's OK, I decided to order two items as well that we could use this coming holiday namely, the combo set (70-Piece Wrap & Bag Ensemble), and some candles. They do have an interesting list of items from the cookies, pizza, gift stuff, various magazines, magnets, to decors. Fundraising drive will end this coming Tuesday. I am glad my little guy has a little cash to contribute this year. Mike was making a joke and asked if they have bodybuilding supplements.
I got tons of layouts printed already and I am so happy how the prints turned out. This was what I really wanted in the first place and now I am glad I can print my layouts in a heartbeat. One more thing I need to buy is the album. I was busy yesterday, so I wasn't able to take care of it yet. So, that's going to be in my "to do list" this coming weekend. I am dying to go out today and take photos. Mike is so busy this past few days and we can't just go places. I hope we can have time this Friday. Oops... the phone is ringing- GTG!

My little guy's first primary tooth finally came out he-he. He freaked out a bit, but I told him it will grow back. I can't let him smile at first, but he finally cooperated after all. I just created a simple layout to document this event. So here it is!
It's been almost 4 weeks since Joshua started school. He has progressed in reading and writing and it's not even a month yet. He is such a very confident 5 year old boy and always looking forward to his teacher's remarks. This behaviour chart makes him so excited every day to do his homework and practice reading every night. It makes me laugh sometimes because he would keep looking at his chart over and over again. I am sure he is proud of his performance. I can't really ask for more!
We sometimes don't realize how much time we devote ourselves doing some crazy exercise and the result is quite frustrating. I've been there and have followed some very exhausting routines and there are days that I just don't want it anymore. It's truly discouraging to not see the results we really wanted right? When I look at myself in the mirror it motivates me to keep exercising just to get my dream figure again, but with my busy schedule; I don't think I have time to even go to the gym. Am I proud of my body right now? My answer is definitely no. What I want is to be able to exercise in the comfort of my home and I want my exercise routine to be a fun thing to do. I don't want those bizarre body movements again that would just make my body aches. I do like the idea of an exercise routine that involves dance, yoga and martial arts. Sounds promising right? If you want to take this body transformation to the next level I think there's only one solution to that. Try it and find the amazing results you can achieve using the techniques of the XFLOWSION - The ultimate 3-in-1 workout, which promotes continuous fat burning and muscle toning. If there's one thing I would love to accomplish it's definitely the toning part, especially in my tummy area. I think it's just normal to get frustrated when things doesn't come out as it should be, but since it's our body and health that we're talking about. We shouldn't be bored and lazy, so do it and make it a fun and interesting workout.
I've been waiting for the September issue of the Digital Artist Magazine. I just visited their blog and there's been a delay of the release this week, but I am glad to find out it's in the stores now. I wasn't really convinced to purchase one before, but I finally subscribed. They always have fun goodies to download and interesting tutorials each month.
OK, so I tackled a few tasks again this week. I made various cards and I am really working on holiday cards as well. I still need to get themed holiday cards and embellishments to go with it. I guess I will make another trip to the craft store again this coming weekend. I am also working on changing my blog theme. I purchased some really cute falls kits, but the problem is; I can't still find a different 3 columns blog template. There aren't really many choices in blogger. I will see what I will come up with!
I was digging my old stuff and saw my slum book or (autograph book). Most girls in HS own one I believe and didn't know I still have mine in my box. Oh this brings back memories. I read some of the things my friends wrote in there and it totally made me laugh. It's just so nice to reminisce the past and remembering all the great memories. The "About Me" page is always fun to read you know and there are questions like "Who's your first crush?" I can still remember how careful we were about what we write because other kids in school are stealing slum books and our secrets will be revealed in class. I can hide my emotions pretty good and they never suspected anything from me or had no idea, who was my HS crush ha-ha. Ah, how fun to go back and read all of it!

Joshua was so persuasive to go to the pool last weekend. It's already a lot cooler early in the morning and so is the water. I am not comfortable going there anymore since we spent enough time in the pool the whole summer. Plus we went to Sea World and visited several water parks as well. My little guy isn't just tired going to the pool and I bet he can do it any time of the day. He really started liking it more when we let him take swimming lessons and it totally boost his confidence to swim. I had no choice but to take him there twice last weekend. Oh well, I am also having a blast finding swimsuit on sale and do you see this swimsuit cover up. This is totally gorgeous. I love it so much!
Growing up my sisters and I really enjoy playing any kind of word games. I actually introduce this game to my family now and this becomes our favorite pastime. Hence, the love of TV games shows is also apparent especially my little guy. He just embraces everything mom loves to do and so we played a bit later today after school and we had a blast. My little guy is so huge in puzzles and that's really one thing he is good. At such an early age he could manage to solve puzzles and he continues to amaze me every now and then. I was just playing with my camera and took some photos of the scrambled letters on the floor.
Have you been following the 3-night LIVE Premiere Event of the DWTS? The anticipation is finally over and I was thrilled to see a few favorite stars dancing this season. I already take part on the voting part as well he-he, yeah I am that serious. I am not going to reveal who is my favorite yet, but I have 2 picks so far who wows me, especially after their performances tonight. I lost track of time and totally forgot to do my tasks online. It's been a fantastic week and busy as always accomplishing stuff like everyday chores and other projects. My little guy is so antsy this week because he has a loose tooth and he totally freaks out. I just told him that his tooth got sick and it will be strong again eventually. I have also tried to squeeze in an exercise routine every morning. I think it's just really wise to stay in shape and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I know taking diet pills is an option and would be an easy route to go.
I used to print layouts in shutterfly but since Mike bought me a new high quality printer. I decided to print some of my layouts at home and this made me busy earlier today. I printed about 20 layouts at first and just really amazed of the results so far. I can't wait to frame some of my digi scrap layouts and the rest are to be kept in an album. I have temporarily put some in my older albums and maybe tomorrow I will focus on finding newer albums for these newly printed layouts. I am just so excited that I can print my layouts right away and no need to order a photo book online. I have wanted to do this since summer and finally bought the right photo paper for this stuff. Mike was also thrilled when he saw it and really thankful of my time turning Joshua's photos to an artwork. Ah, I enjoyed doing this stuff and it's really a great way to preserve these photos as well.

I enjoy seeing my son's artwork, but he sometimes goes overboard on smearing paint on the walls. Today he wanted to draw and paint and I reminded him not to write on our walls again. I still have some to clean up and today I just found out he marked the walls with smiley faces including our TV. What else I can do instead just laughed at this whole situation. I sometimes get upset because some of them don't come off; unless he uses the washable ones. He actually had a great start painting and actually took some photos of him too. But I still really need to watch when Joshua plays to make sure he doesn't smudge it anywhere. Ah I guess I don't sweat on small stuff I should better be off compare car insurance quote online.
We are going to visit a family friend later today, so I have to do my tasks as early as I can. Seriously, I woke up early and scrapped a few pages. I have been very slow in finishing up Joshua's 3rd album. It's just that I have so many things to take care of since my little guy started school. I guess I will just take my time to scrap and finish this 100 page album. That's my goal I hope I could scrap again in the next few days.
Oh well I was thrilled when an old friend buzz me earlier, so we chatted for an hour and I am glad to hear from her. It's been almost 5 years since the last time I saw my best friend. I am planning to go home to Pinas next year, so that would be a great reunion again. I can't wait for that day!
Another thing I need to accomplish this week is Joshua's project. We should better start it on Sunday. I guess this is all for now. I have 2 new scraps I would love to share. Have a great weekend!
I haven't been visiting the forum much and today I was browsing and see what's new. There's been a thread of a new digi store that will open today so I went and check. I didn't know that 3 of the new designers are my former CT mates. I need to take a deep breath because this group of ladies is top notch scrappers and now turning designers in an absolutely fantastic new store. I love what I see so far and I am definitely eyeing on Cath's and Amanda's new kits. What an exciting week for this ladies and I am happy to see them sell their products now. They have too much creativity so why not use it. If you're a fan click the blinkie and head to their store now.
---Check out this fall kit by Jofia again. I can't wait to update my blog header using this. This is absolutely a neat kit. I love the combination of the elements on this particular kit and yeah I am digging the umbrella and the pumpkin. What a brilliant designer she is. Yay, more time to do this coming weekend!

I used to work with handmade custom jewelry designers before and I know they had flown several times to India to buy gemstone beads and freshwater pearls. I think they really want to visit the country and see what other precious stones they have available. We got tons of orders from trendy boutiques and the pressure of coming up with new designs every week was really high. There was a shortage of materials sometimes and flying to other countries to buy it was such a hassle. If only they knew they could actually purchase stuff online I think that could have saved their time. The Beads of Cambay provides pretty much everything our stored had from the semi precious stones, precious stones to all kinds of pearls imaginable they have it all. They recently have 30% off offer for “high quality” wholesale gemstone beads. The freshwater pearls are absolutely my favorite its colors define pure elegance. I love the texture of each pearls and it's just really ideas sometimes that you will run out of on how to use them. But its beauty is always preserved and you can tell when you get a chance to touch it. You can not only determine them by its colors but also by shape and type. That's why I always love to use any of the green and white freshwater pearls in my designs. Worry no more because if you have the love of creating fashion jewelry and enjoy collecting beads or pearls. The top wholesale bead supplier is just one click away. If you aren't familiar of some of these stones you should give yourself a time to study and take a look at the selections of the store. I just learned all this when I had the chance to work with people who were knowledgeable about this. But my love and interest of creating and spreading my creativity will always remain even though I stop working there for years now.
I just got a letter from Joshua's teacher letting us know about their first home project, which is "My Family and Me" due on September 29th. I am very excited because they will be given a grade for this. After my son's class yesterday we went to the Target to purchase the materials for this particular project. This project includes 6 categories: a picture of him as a baby, family members, favorite sport, favorite food, favorite toy and favorite activity in school. I spent time cutting out pictures from the magazines yesterday and printing some of his baby photos. It's required that the child will also participate on creating this project. My little guy seems pretty tired after school and I am hoping we could start on creating this collage this coming weekend. We will see how he does because they would actually present this project orally to class. I want this done as soon as possible, so he could practice a bit and identify the pictures in his collage. I know this must be a fun thing to do! I can't complain because Joshua is doing well in school. I am just proud of him.
As usual I am also busy with my own projects day after day. When boredom strikes if I am not on my PC, then you will see me doing some crafty stuff.

I think being stylish is what every woman wants to portray nowadays. Seeing all the celebrities wearing all this fancy stuff we tend to mimic how they look. Oftentimes, we do spend on expensive stuff just to satisfy ourselves. To me it doesn't really matter how much the item is worth and I think it's really up to the person who wears it. One could wear a very cheap material of clothing or accessories but knows how to carry it, and then I would still call that stylish in their own way. Accessories can add beauty to the person and if you sport any of the Cartier watches no doubt people would really stare at you, but as long as you can afford it for real; Why not buy it. Honestly, I was just browsing the Watchery and I've been drooling over this Cartier Roadster Ladies' Watch which has a stainless steel pink dial. Ah it's just gorgeous and elegant. They truly have amazing selections in their store and too much eye candy. I know we enjoy shopping during the holiday season and whoever gets a Cartier chronograph is sure one lucky person. Take advantage of their fall sale because you can save on hundreds of watches. Shipping is free in the USA and if you purchase a watch that will qualify for their giveaway you can also get a free watch. Now it the best time to shop because you can save up to 23% on selected watches. That is such a great deal. Check it out!
My little guy can't decide yet what costume he is going to wear this coming Halloween. I would normally buy it a month ahead just to make sure we will get the right size for him and could return it earlier in case there may be problems of the shipping. It's been a great experience to him trick or treating and every year he always participates. We are looking forward to this year's event again and I am thinking of getting one for me too. It was just last year that my friend and I had done it together including the kids and it was such a great year for all of us. I bet there would be another plan for this year and I might suggest that we will purchase our kids Halloween costumes to this particular store I like. I always buy Joshua's costumes online and so far so good. It's always fun picking out a costume every year and it's already a tradition to really dress up and be part of the fun crowd. I stumbled upon a lot of Halloween costume stores and each year there is always a unique piece that I always admire. I was a witch last year and this year I am not sure yet, but I definitely have a lot of searching to do in the next few days. There's only one place I could think right now that has awesome selections of Halloween costumes. I really need to finalize it this week of what to get and I hope my little guy would cooperate, so we could order it as soon as possible. I like to shop in a store where they have everything from the accessories, makeup, wigs, masks, decorations, props, to adult and kids costumes. It's easier to shop that way and no hassles of going from one store to another. Check out the masters of masquerade for your needs this coming Halloween.
I do enjoy going to the craft store a lot, but it could really get expensive sometimes. I would normally just grab and grab and don't realize once it all adds up it's quite high and sometimes I will go beyond my budget. I know it's not a good thing, but at least I know how to balance it out every month. Either I will spend my allowance to clothes or craft materials. I am really trying to be good in budgeting and cut back on some of this. They are just really bows and flowers and even though it's nice to finish a project out of what I bought, but next time I would definitely find some coupons I could use at least I won't pay the whole price. That's one secret others have done to be able to save and it would be nice to be wise next time I will make a purchase.
Today is my friend's birthday and yeah I totally forgot. We chatted a bit earlier and she said we are going to have a get together this coming Saturday. We're kind of busy with our kids in the past few days and so we don't go out that much. It would be nice if we could hang out and see if our husbands could take care of the kids for one day and we will do something fun. Going to the saloon is a great idea, you know? Stuff like that is definitely I look forward to on doing together. Or we could also bring our cameras and maybe go to the lake and take photos. Moms do need a break and it's nice to pamper ourselves once in awhile.

I think I have given Mike enough hints that I want this Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet in Christmas time. I noticed the ladies in the forum discussed Bamboo Pen Tablet many times and I don't have an idea what it was at first. When I visited the site and read the description of this gadget. I was like so amazed of its capabilities and how easy it is to install. Mike was around by that time when I was browsing and he actually knew what I am talking about. I was like OK, hm-mm... "Isn't it neat"? Yeah the white one is definitely my pick. There's so much to learn on this cool gadget and I wouldn't really mind learning a new one this year. It's definitely a new cool gadget to boot. Knowing I could expand my creativity using this gadget like to do photo editing, digital paint, draw, sketch, and hand write I am absolutely excited to fiddle this one day.

Each year I always look forward to sending cards to my family during the holiday season. It is such a great way to lift someone's spirit and a simple way remind them of how important they are. Other members of the family might not be able to send something back, but I can assure you they do appreciate our effort of sending them holiday cards. It is a very thoughtful way to send our warm wishes indeed. I do get excited every time I will receive one from any of my family members as well and you can just feel right then that you're being loved and remembered. There had been a few times that I don't have time to create cards on my own and believe me I get so spoiled of the selections Vista Print has to offer. From assorted holiday cards, photo cards, postcards, folded cards to stylish holiday cards they have it all. You can customize it easily and you're good to go. They have several offers right now and you can use this coupon code Xmas Free to avail 10 Free Holiday Cards. I do rely to them when it comes to printing. It doesn't take that long to make someone smile!
When I saw these set of gift tags I knew what to do with it right away. I simply glued letters on each one of the tags, added elements on the side and this turned out to be Joshua's alphabet tags. Aside from reading to Joshua out loud for at least 15 minutes every night; we also go through mastering the alphabets and the numbers. I know Josh recited numbers 1-30 at school last week and so this would be a cool learning aide for him when we do it night after night. I don't think he was really bothered with the other elements attached with the letters. I am the one who will hold the tags anyway and all he does is identify the numbers and letters, so I guess it won't hurt to go stylish this time. There's really no difference with these to the real flash cards. Another project accomplished this week-[check] On the other hand, I also played with my old jewelry and came up with the idea to use it as an embellishment to this card I created yesterday. Yeah, finally an update after 3 days of absence!

I am finally done with this mini album I have wanted to finish since last month. Now that Joshua is going to school already I could definitely give more time on my future projects. I want to focus on his old photos because some of them are getting bad already. At least I could preserve them this way and once the album is decorated it will be good to look at. I had fun doing this and I just love the process of gluing, cutting, and putting embellishments on. It's so fulfilling after seeing the result and when it turns out really good. I hope my little guy would appreciate this one day. Have a great weekend everyone!

I have two nieces and both are in soccer teams. I have watched those girls played a few times and can't just imagine the chaos in there. Expect the unexpected because once the soccer moms start screaming and yelling you should better start covering your ears. What an exciting week for The Sproutwells; Ruby red is playing soccer. Who would have thought that a lettuce with no legs could be playing soccer. I had a chuckle when mom Romaina said to Rosy "whoever heard of a lettuce with legs?" Romaina is definitely a typical soccer mom. I do like the soccer skirt that baby green bought for her sister from the freshfunds and yeah she sure looks cute. That gave Rosy an idea where most of their packages came from. No doubt the sproutwells are fond of the Chiquita and Fresh Express products. By joining the freshfunds you could start accumulating points towards prizes or charity donations. Eating healthy is very important to kids and it should start at home so wherever they go they would consider eating healthy foods alone. I am inviting you to join freshfunds and start bidding on cool prizes now. The following goodies can gain you points!
# Chiquita Fruit and Veggie Bites
# Fresh Express Gourmet Café Salads
# Fresh Express Packaged Salads*
My friend just told me about another festival tomorrow in Richardson. She would always invite me when there's a new event where she lives. We were able to witness a few festivals since last year and this would be another exciting event of the month. As long as it involves activities for kids, then we're definitely going. I think they all have different kinds of games, activities, prizes, including the fabulous Critterman Rainforest Safari Show and amazing animals from rain forests all over the world. No doubt our boys would love it. Another thing to watch out for is the finale concert at around 6pm. I just checked the website and this is actually a free admission, so that's much better. I hope it won't rain tomorrow so it won't be hard for the kids. Joshua freaks out when it rains and I don't think that would be fun if it happens. I am looking forward to meeting them this Saturday!
Ah I can't get enough of these ribbons. I had to take advantage of the sale in Joann's. I bought 3 different set of bows, tons of flowers and alphas. I also grabbed a few albums I could alter and other cool embellishments that were on sale. Mike accompanied me in the store since he was free earlier, so it was fun picking out stuff with him there. He was very surprised of the selections they have just for scrap booking alone. I know a lot of eye candy in the store and I am glad they have a sale at least I could save on some of the stuff I bought. Yippee, more projects to create!

I got a chance to go to a craft store again earlier. Joann's has a 25% sale on all scrapping products, so I grabbed tons of ribbons and flowers because they are my favorite physical scrap booking elements. I love to mix and match and adding a variety of embellishments would definitely make my other projects really interesting. I tend to create small projects because this stuff is quite pricey and I don't want to find myself just spending all my cash on to this either. It's fun to create things when I'm normally bored and just came up with something today and embellished this cute mini book. I started jotting down addresses and phone numbers on this Pooh book Joshua owns and thought of altering it for this particular project. In addition, I also created a fun card for me to be put on my desk. I guess this is all I can share for now.

As a mother of a 5 year old boy who just started kindergarten this year; I would say this whole experience has been fun and overwhelming. I do like the idea of the mandatory rule for all the kids to wear uniform even in public schools. When I was in kindergarten I don't think we have any. We had the freedom to wear anything we liked and so other kids that had more money are definitely the stylish in the class. Was I the most organized kid in class? Maybe not! But my mom was and one of the highlights of my year was when I lost my lunch box. I knew she would get mad, but what can I do. I bet it's kind of expected already those kids in that age is still careless. When it was my son's turn to go to school I made sure everything was labeled and thanks to the DYMO label maker. Its Color labels are definitely a huge help in organizing my son's school stuff from the school work, gears, lunch box, books, to keeping track of toys. It certainly is a great idea to label them and it saves me a lot of time. I can't just imagine the chaos of finding stuff that are misplaced and the time you will spend in finding them. So it's great to own one and it's definitely the best label maker I ever used.
I am just moved of the life story of this girl. As I was watching her segment yesterday on Oprah show I was crying the whole time. I can't still believe her fame skyrocketed so quickly and already performed with the most brilliant singers in the world. I think Oprah is just smitten by her because she was invited again for the second time to perform. The best part of the show was when Celine Dion her idol proposes to her to have a duet in one of her upcoming shows in the Madison Square Garden. Ah that moment was just amazing. It was absolutely a dream come true. Mike and I were both watching and even he had misty eyes. It's so touching that people like Oprah believed in her and let her show the world what she does best. It's just so unbelievable that after someone posted her videos on youtube that she will be discovered. From that time on she was invited to perform on many shows anywhere in the world including on Oprah show twice. It's an honor to watch when a kababayan excels.
I totally neglected my blog in the past few days because I got so much stuff to do. I have also been following Joshua in school for two days straight. I can't just sleep thinking that he is all by himself now going to the cafeteria and finding his classroom afterwards. So I need to find out if he can really manage now; I want to know how's his attitude around with other kids and also observed other kids overall behavior. Of course, there is always a fear of him getting hurt and the least I want to hear is someone else bullies him. I think it's every mom's worst fear and I will admit it's very overwhelming. It got me teary-eyed seeing him all alone on one of the tables in the cafeteria. He has no idea I was following his bus, so he was delighted when he saw me. The kids could get pretty rough in the hallway and I know they are not supposed to run, but these two girls came running and didn't really care if they will run over someone. I was very worried of what I saw because Joshua was just so calm, but other kids are just not careful. Yeah, I am aware I haven't updated and so I am dishing it all out now. More stuff ahead!
I am finally done shopping and packing. The boxes are sealed already and ready to be shipped. Here are some of the stuff that my sisters requested that includes baby stuff, beauty products, clothing, shoes, accessories, and a lot more. I can't show everything! This was definitely a task going to one store to another I am glad it's finally over. I didn't do this last year, so it was a joy picking out presents for them this year. The cosmetics are definitely their favorites and I can't think of any place to go, but VS. They have some adorable girly makeup set, which my sisters would really dig. Oh yeah and the Havaianas flip-flops are definitely on the list. They wanted these so bad!

_________Leftovers:
Weekend is always fun and no doubt it's a family time. We were able to meet a few relatives as well. In fact, we will be going to the rodeo this coming Friday. Joshua got a free ticket from his teacher and so Mike and I will buy our own tickets. We invited a few relatives to meet up there and I am glad they agreed to join us. They only have two events for kids and that's the Mutton Busting and the Calf Scramble. There could be a chance of Joshua getting hurt, but if he wants to I would probably let him participate. I know it's going to be fun. For Dining and Catering what's Texas without barbecue? Oh, we definitely know where to eat. We are thrilled for this upcoming event. I hope it won' rain.
I will keep you posted!
We went to Target earlier and Joshua really showed interest on this laptop. He really wanted this so bad and I ended up buying this educational toy for him. This compact laptop with a large LCD screen includes 50 interactive activities and games from developmentally significant categories such as Language, Mathematics, Logic, Memory, Music, My Tools, and Games. It's ideal for 5 years old and above, so I bought it for him. When we got home we set up to his study table right away and he really loves it. He is a surfer already and uses the real computer at the age of 2 and is pretty comfortable using the mouse. He can browse by himself and type simple words and both Mike and I are just really surprised how early he learns all this stuff.
I just got a confirmation from the lady at PNB remittance center about the shipping cost of balikbayan boxes. The price went up a bit, but I still decided to use jumbo balikbayan boxes to be sent to my family. I received the news last night that my sister is going to have a baby boy and I would definitely send Joshua's old clothes and other baby stuff, so there's more to pack. Today I started shopping a few stuff in my list and hopefully I will be finished this week, so I could send these packages ASAP. We are all excited to welcome the second "Apo" in the family. I have been really slow with this whole packing thing because I didn't feel good in the last 2 days, so all I did was taking a rest. Today I feel a little better so I am half way done and hopefully by Friday I can call the lady to pick up these boxes.
A short update about Joshua's school and all I can say is he is just doing well. I noticed new big words already he uttered this week and I have nothing but pure admiration to him. He just surprises me every day and his performances are really outstanding. I am glad Mike is around to help a little and take care of Joshua, while I am busy packing. A few games and snacks helped ease the boredom too. All three of us really enjoy word games, so we had played a bit. We were still able to bond a little and decided to just stay home for the rest of the day.
The ease of just driving through and order food whatever you like to one of these fast foods is somehow addicting. I know we do have a rule now at home to limit eating out and really focus on cooking meals at home. But sometimes we just have cravings that we can't avoid and find ourselves right there in one of these drive-through windows. I bet your typical mornings would be to have coffee first thing and don't have time to prepare it yourself and ended up ordering one in Starbucks or any of the cheaper version, whichever you like. My little guy has an addiction to ice cream and same with my Mike. So this summer they have spent quite a bit just for ice cream treats. I am not into this stuff so much, so once in awhile it's OK. We've been too many places since last weekend and me taking photos is also never ending. So here are new set of photos here today in my blog. Have a wonderful day everyone!

I was just watching the 4th episode of The Sproutwells and the nosy Rosie is snooping again. Ah, it's just unbelievable to have a neighbor like that. Who would want a nosy neighbor? I bet we all hated it to have them around. But I don't think we can avoid people of that kind and they would do everything to snoop around. On this episode Rosie was wondering why the Sproutwells get so many packages. It's simply because they're members of freshfunds and of course they will get packages from time to time. Ruby was expecting her portable DVD player to arrive and I bet she got that as an award by joining freshfunds program. It's expected that by joining and bidding on prizes you could have a chance of receiving their future prizes as well. I wish I am lucky as Ruby and I would love to have a Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet from freshfunds.
