I asked Josh earlier what theme he wants for his Birthday. He will be celebrating his 6th Birthday next week and he decided to have hot wheels theme. We were just browsing Party City online and we will probably buy his b-day stuff this coming Friday. He really wanted this HW-award ribbon and I think it is kind of cute too. I will definitely get this one for him. We also decided to have a small party in school with his classmates and another outdoor party with us. Last Sunday we went to the lake and I really love the area, which is really a perfect venue for his outdoor Birthday party. I guess we will go back there and maybe fly a kite again. We did this last Sunday and we had a blast!

I am absolutely in a shopping mood right now. I have two balikbayan boxes to be filled with goodies and treats. I expect shipping these boxes at the end of April, so I've been hunting for stuff on sale since last week and found wonderful items at pretty reasonable prices. I found some makeup set, cheap lingerie, sundresses, shoes, wallets, and purses. These would cover everything my sisters wanted to have. For the boys, I decided to buy sneakers, t-shirts and beach wear. Of course, it won't be complete without the chocolates. That would be the last thing I will purchase. I love these wonderful embroidered and lace trimmed camisoles I found online. Ah, too many things to prepare and I keep telling Mike I am already stressed out. But at least I had fun shopping. Next week I am going to tackle getting our passports!

My aunt's business is really in good shape right now and as a wholesale grocer she definitely wants to add more household items in her store, so people in her town won't be driving that far to buy those necessities. My sister who's doing her own thing at home seems like also in progress. She wanted me to put up something which is much bigger than her RTW clothing business. I will see what I can contribute when I go home this summer. Sounds like a great plan, but I want to make sure it's something profitable in the long run!
Here are photos from my P-365 Project as well. I've been busy last week, so I wasn't able to update. Have a great weekend!

I don't know how to stop my little guy from climbing our TV Stand. When I woke up this morning he was already pounding the TV, which the loud sound really startled me. I need to be constantly telling him not to do it because he could end up hurt. He does this in our bedroom, but what we have in our living area is much safer since it's a big screen TV and he doesn't care messing it up because there's really nothing to climb on. We were browsing the other day and saw a great TV Stand, which even led me to purchase a stereo cabinet as well. I just want to make sure it's well-built and serve its purpose for making it much safer this time for my little guy!

After giving birth I was told I need to have a yearly checkup mainly for mammogram and Pap smear. I think it is important that this is taken seriously due to cervical and breast cancer, which are common diseases for women. I always make sure I do it each year. I might call the clinic to set an appointment, so I have it done before leaving for our trip. Like what my doctor would always say early detection saves lives. It is something women should pay attention to even vaginal dryness. There are still other minor common diseases that could cause such dryness and itchiness.

Last Friday was a blast even though we had to endure long lines before we could get into the Arboretum. Since it's spring break, so the crowed overflowed and we were sent to a public parking lot. Shuttle buses were also there to pick the people who can't get a parking spot inside. After 30 minutes of standing we were finally able to get in and the entrance was also jam-packed. Good thing there's a membership express, so that was a breeze after confirming our membership. We then perused the gardens and took photos at the same time. Had a quick lunch break and continued to admire the real beauty inside. This is what I am talking about and I can't get enough of these flowers. That was absolutely a perfect day for my family.

Oh didn't I just spend all night revamping the look of this blog again? For some reason, I really love the color combination now. I always wanted my blog looks neat and fresh and I would definitely settle on this. Anyway, I am still contemplating if I will have to drop by in NY, before heading to Pinas this summer. My friend wanted me to visit her in California as well. But it sounds like a complicated route. It would be good to visit some of these states before flying to my hometown. I would love to, but it's not easy traveling with a child in tow. In case, I will change my mind I could book a New York City hotel any day. My friend would want me to stay in her place if I will pick California as our first stop. I can't wait for this anticipated trip!
I always love to use fun props for photography and this was what I came up with. Josh and I just loved our umbrellas. Just an update of my P-365 project!

We do have different taste when it comes to fashion, style, jewelry, and furniture, but when I purchase something I always go with quality and comfort. I am very particular on those two. One reason is that, if you will have to spend a hefty amount of cash for a high quality product, then it would definitely last long just like the Berkline theater seating. If not, then you will end up buying stuff every year. I think it is wise sometimes to invest on good and quality products. It's definitely worth it. Ah, it is always nice to come home from work and be able to relax and enjoy the most comfortable couches you could ever own. Who would not want a life of ease and comfort?

I am still considering on pursuing a degree in medical field. For some reason I am still not able to commit to it in the past year; due to not having someone who will be around with my little one while I am away. I just don't want to ruin my chances of being accepted and later drop out of school because of the time constraint. Ah, I should have taken this field instead of Business Management course. I don't really have to worry about the school since it is only ten minute drive away from home and not to mention all the technical schools and courses in Texas to choose from. I know I can work this out!

We went for a drive earlier today and noticed the empty spaces for rent in this one business area. I am not surprised, but it's hard to see those businesses shut down because of what our economy is experiencing right now. I kind of felt bad that my favorite stores in the mall are closing. I want convenient shopping and this one store that has everything just closed last year and now I have to drive down to Galleria to be able to find something I like. I just hope there will be changes soon, so people who are involved in commercial real estate won't suffer and everything will be back to normal.

... of these flowers! We went to the park the other day and noticed the blooming flowers nearby. I told my little guy to play while I was taking my time photographing these flowers. I have run a single photo action here which resulted to look like this. But the real color is dark pink, which I really love. The Arboretum is also open now, so we are planning to go by Friday. I hope the weather will be fantastic. Just want to share this!

Ah, my new addiction each day is to take a picture of me particularly for this new project called [Project 365-Self Portraits]. With the help of my tripod and wireless remote I can make that happen. Yeah, expect too many outtakes, but I am absolutely enjoying it. This is for the entire year, so more random facial expressions to be shared. This is definitely a challenge having to set aside a time to do this. The process is daunting, but what makes it more exciting is the idea of learning more about photography, which is my ultimate goal. Looks like I will need microdermabrasion to treat those large pores. I don't really have a complicated beauty routine, but I am more open now to new stuff like the microdermabrasion process to revitalize my skin. Finally, I am down to my last post for today!

Despite, the tragic downturn of our economy right now some people are still in the process of beautifying their homes. It's not a problem while they can afford it. The only mistake is that if you're planning to renovate and debts are piling up; it's definitely not a great choice to go ahead and do it. Financial advisors would cringe if you will pursue on building up more debts and not have enough funds to pay it afterwards; or not have enough savings for emergency purposes. Even if it's just minor renovation and maybe you need help with pvc fence installation; you can always clarify that with your gate provider. There isn't really an easy task everything should be done properly or else you will be stuck. If you choose to do so and not sure where to start do it the right way and if you're not sure what style and material to pick check out fencequotes!

I really like it that I don't feel too pressured getting online and update something. I am more focused to accomplish one thing and worry about other things later. So far it's been a fantastic week. I will be attending parent/teacher conference again tonight. Joshua's birthday is coming up and I have yet to discuss the arrangement of his party and what foods are allowed in school. He is going to have an official party at home, but we also wanted to have a small gathering in school, so his classmates could sing 'Happy Birthday' to Joshua. In fact, he really loves the idea and I am so willing to make that happen. He has been really good in school and he so deserves it! Yay, it is spring break next week, so more free time at home. Finally, Joshua can have a week off. We're definitely planning something that week. Maybe drive down to the country side. That would be a perfect setting for my future photographic ideas that I have in my mind right now. Oh well you better check out P-365 project set. It's always updated everyday! One last thing if you're interested to buy trees like Plum trees. Check out Aaron's Nursery online!

How many cases of cancer do we really need to hear or read? These are something that we don't have in control of. It could just happen to anyone and we should be more aware that this stuff exists and that we should do a physical check up to detect early symptoms. One of which is Mesothelioma : a usually malignant tumor derived from mesothelial tissue (as that lining the peritoneum or pleura). No one is ever ready to battle this kind of sickness, that's why there are doctors, books, guides and health experts to help you understand the occurence of such disease. If you're affected by it, don't hesitate to seek help. Go out there, do some research and find answers for it!

It's sad to see a life ended through a motorcycle accident. I don't think there's really an exception to this anyone could drive, but everyone should be aware of the repercussion. I can understand why some people want to drive motorcycles than driving a car. It's somewhat a hobby and it's kind of an enjoyment, which no one ever thought could lead to a tragic end. We all just really need to take responsibility of our actions when we're out on the road driving; for the sake of our safety and other innocent people. In case, you will be in this situation you can always call the motorcycle accident lawyers Los Angeles to educate you more!

I might do some volunteer work in my son's school next year. I decided not to do it this year since I got other plans; plus I am positive I can't commit to it this time. It might be a little different next year since they will be having more activities probably a field trip. I am a little excited that my little guy will experience stuff like this with his classmates and yeah it's a learning process. I am positive the school is responsible enough for the kids' safety and has the safety equipment for this kind of activities whether it is outside or just around the campus. I realized it won't really take much of my time, so why not help and volunteer.

I was so thrilled to see few flowers blooming already. Josh and I were strolling yesterday and noticed the evident sign of spring. I can't wait to visit my favorite gardens again and yeah spring is just around the corner. It's exciting for me because I love taking photos of flowers. But what I am more thrilled about is that I will be having a three month vacation in my hometown, and everything is just so surreal. I have wanted this for so long and now I will just make it happen. After Joshua will complete his readiness test in May we will leave right away. Tickets are crazily expensive too and I am still waiting for some great deals out there. I definitely would love to save on this trip. Mike is behind all this and I just hope he will be able to keep up whatever expenses I may have. The good thing is that there's always an online payment services available!
