My friend and her family were visiting Dallas two weeks ago. I was excited when she told me on the phone they will be coming over. I freaked out at first because I have only two days to prepare and clean my place, but I know she will understand. Mike and I planned to take them to the Botanic Garden. By Friday morning the weather was disappointing and I thought we can't be able to do much during that day. The rain stopped at around 3p.m. and decided to go even though we only have three hours to peruse the gardens. I know we can't visit all gardens, but at least we have visited Japanese Garden and The Rose Garden, which are my top picks. Everything went great and we definitely had a blast. I am glad we were still able to do the egg hunting on Sunday afternoon. We have had isolated thunderstorms on Saturday night and the ground was sure wet the next morning. Josh did not want to miss the egg hunting and he really wanted to do it rain or shine. Finally, at around 2p.m. Sunday afternoon the rain stopped. I told my little guy to get ready because we're heading to a nearby park. Here are a few photos from last Sundays event. Two baskets full of eggs what else you can ask for. Overall it was fun day. My little guy finally turned six years old last Wednesday. We opted for an outdoor party this time. He always had his birthdays @ Chuck E Cheese's and I am kind of tired of it. I wanted a change and take lots of photos. For his gift we bought him this Flip handy video cam plus it has its own tripod, which is so cute. Very light indeed and he loves it so much. He loves to take short clips and this was a perfect gift. We also set up a quick party with his classmates before 3pm. on Wednesday. Sadly, I wasn't allowed to take photos of the other kids. But overall it was a fun birthday celebration. You can view the rest of the photos in my album! After tucking him into bed I spent a few hours on the net searching for new patio furniture.

My mom is absolutely in the process of redecorating our home right now. I asked my sister what she's been doing lately and she mentioned she's super excited of my homecoming. I understand mom and she's always like that. She just wants everything fall into right places and make sure the house is presentable when we get there. A few thing she needs to work on is to update the dining area. Adding fresh flowers might be a great idea. I know she's into that route. I am thrilled to see my family again. It's been quite awhile since the last time I visited. The most important thing for me is to have a room for us and you can't go wrong with Sferra beddings. Ah, I can just imagine the changes they have as of this time. I know this trip is going to be fun!
We would normally do our family outing on Sundays and last weekend was no exception. I am always looking forward to having a short pleasure trip and take lots of photos. It's absolutely a cheap thrill for me and a treat for my little guy. We just want to have fun and get away from our normal routines each week. Josh gets home from school at around 3:15pm and by that time, he is already tired and just wants to eat and relax. We don't have time on weekdays, so taking him to different places on weekend is real fun for him. I will leave you off with these photos!

I can't blame the men who love to drive fast cars. When you see one on the road you would certainly be gushing over it. I think the maintenance is quite expensive and of course the Ferrari parts, but like what I said it's not a problem as long as they can afford it. We all work hard to buy what we want. Ladies shop a lot of clothes, shoes, purses, accessories and men tend to exaggerate on what they drive. For others status is everything, so yeah it does matter on how you represent yourself.
I have mentioned a few times that I will be traveling this summer. I really hate the idea of paying extra for my luggage that's why I opted to ship boxes beforehand, so I can focus on bringing just one suitcase with me. Then, the rest of my stuff will be shipped including my presents/treats for my family. I certainly would want to finish packing before the end of the month, so the packages will arrive as soon as possible. I've done it many times and having a box cutter would make my job much easier. Watch out family members more packages on the way!
Spring is definitely my favorite season. There are just too many things to see most especially the beautiful flowers. Now that I do enjoy photography I can't simply ignore their beauty. We've already visited a few gardens, but still got a lot to visit this month. We decided to visit Ennis for the Bluebonnet Trail Festival on the 17th. We have not visited in the past, so it would be good to witness this celebration as well. Last Sunday as we were heading to Fort Worth we've noticed the Bluebonnets along the road, so we stopped and took pictures. A few photos below! 
My little guy is into cowboy stuff lately. He wants us to call him Cowboy Joe. That's the name his teacher uses on her illustration of the cowboy for their SS project. He just adores the whole cowboy look and one day they had to dress like a cowboy. We bought him his costume and he went to school very proud wearing his cowboy outfit. I just find it really cute! No doubt, in Halloween he wants to wear the costume again. If you're into the real horseback riding/equestrian you might find these selections interesting namely the latest equestrian apparel. I admire women who are talented and a risk taker; it doesn't matter what things you're passionate about be it: photography, horseback riding, web designing, traveling and many more just go for it. I definitely need compact flash cards for my camera and extra batteries. I just hope I can find a good converter when I get home, so I won't have a problem charging those batteries. Least, I forget I also need a new camera strap. I've been getting neck sore due to the rough texture of my old camera strap and a new stylish strap is definitely a must have.
Ah, too many things to buy and prepare. I hope I won't miss anything and the most important thing of all is to enjoy our coming trip!
I was just reading an article about jobs that are still in demand 10 years from now and among those are healthcare jobs. I am thankful that two of my siblings are both nurses and I know one day they will be able to come here and work. Anyone who has a degree in medical field will probably be safe in the next years to come. I don't think there's something to be feared of since this industry is stable and we obviously need health care providers. If you're planning to be trained professionally go for it; that's probably the best route to go!
I can't wait for my son's school break; two months more and we're off to a fun summer vacation. One thing, I am certainly excited about going home this summer aside from seeing my family again is definitely the food. I want to make sure Josh and I have so much fun in there and visiting islands/resorts is definitely on my list. Mike is not coming with us but when we come back we're probably hitting North Carolina Coast and Outer Banks rentals is preferable!
