I've been hungry for Chinese food, so I called my friend to have lunch with her. We decided to go to Mei Mei's to satisfy our cravings. We really enjoyed the food and sure didn't miss to order another meal to go. My little guy really enjoyed the Green Beans and Egg Rolls. We're planning to go back there again probably next week.
Hmmm...weight loss diet pills are calling us haha; she keeps complaining about her weight, but still has the appetite for Chinese cooking. Just one of the few things we love to do.
I heard the rain hammering down on roof again. Ah, I hope it won't rain on Saturday night, so it would be fun for my little guy to go Trick or Treating. We will see how it turns out!

Just thought of switching to a different car insurance provider when we buy a new car. We have all three vehicles covered, so we will probably look for the best insurance quotes. This is definitely something we need to work on.

On the other hand, we kept my little guy at home yesterday because he had a fever since Sunday night. It seems like his temperature is normal now, so I sent him to school. It's the drastic change of weather that makes our kids sick. I am glad he was playful the whole time because as a mom I panic right away. In fact, we took him to the park before he complained his head was hurting. We bought our favorite chicken strips @ Popeyes and he didn't really feel like eating at all. We decided to cut the outing short so he could rest. Photo below!

Okay... that was an interesting break. Little guy just got up and he's not very agreeable. Offered him juice and he doesn't want it. Now, switched the conversation to having a Dr. Pepper instead and he gave me a sheepish look, LOL. I know what he wants and told him to drink just half of it and save the rest later haha... he is addicted to soda only when it's available, but I pretty much hide those from him. Off topic: Talk about kitchen faucets. I realized our bathroom faucet needs to be replaced and not only that, but including the shower head. Ah, must buy these stuff ASAP!

A friend of mine is a Network Engineer and she's really thrilled about this career. I am still not sure what to get when I go back to school, but jobs in finance are somewhat competitive as well. Whatever career path it may be I hope it's something really useful ten years from now. Anyway, we're still planning to go to Flowermound to visit the Pumpkin Farm. We've done this for three years and even though we already went to the festival last weekend in Arboretum. We still want to see more Pumpkins hehe... little guy loves it too; Of course, more photos!

Mike just got rid of his truck last year and how many truck accessories does he really need? He is driving a van and he seems happy with it. It's a pretty realiable transportation for now and perfect for the kind of job he does. We're planning to get a new one sometime this year, so I still got to pick; something that would definitely lasts for awhile. Papa is coming over, so we need a much bigger one. Crossing my fingers Mike will buy the one I really want. Yay!

...weekend chores are pretty much done. Hooray! I'm so glad little guy is napping right now. I was just browsing for hand dryers and remembered how little guy was so fascinated with this thing. He is really trained well especially when using public restrooms and he prefers drying his hands automatically than grabbing those paper towels. Ah, so what to do later today; I am not sure if we still have time to drive down to Coppel. We really want to visit the parks there, but I am still going to negotiate with Mike and see if he wants to go. He has work tonight, so I am not sure. He probably prefers it on Sunday. Then, I might as well continue blogging!

My plan on going back to school has been really put off many times. First, when Mike lost his job in 2005. I don't have a choice but to set aside any of what I had started and let my husband find something for us to survive. It sucks when work schedule changes and had to replan the whole thing. I am still hopeful about finishing a degree and an online university might be able to help me with that. I have a few friends who does this and go to school for two days and do the rest online. Things are looking pretty good now and found some interesting online degree programs that interest me and fits my career choice. The IT-Networks Administration at WGU is really my first choice and I am just so excited to start as soon as possible. I just want to make this right the second time around.

We took advantage of the wonderful weather last Sunday and went to the Arboretum for the Pumpkin festival. We're always looking forward to this each year. In fact, little guy is going to go back there tomorrow with his classmates because it's their field trip. It was kind of a rough start since we were not able to get in right away. Gates were closed because there is no available parking space inside. We waited and good thing they let us in afterward. We perused the place for almost 3 hours and decided to head home when my friend called me and invited me to go to a concert. I'd taken lots of photos already and saw pretty much everything when she called, so the trip was totally worth it. It's always fun to see what they have each year and kids really enjoyed it. Photos below!
On the other hand, I called my friend back on our way home and confirmed I can make it to the concert. I noticed a zit on my face, so I wasn't thrilled about that. No time to really grab something in the store, so I decided to just use my best eye cream for dark circles to conceal it. It does come handy when you have extra stuff in your purse. The concert lasted two hours, so yeah it was kind of late when we got out from the theater. We ended the night with a late night Mediterranean dinner. Great food!

I cooked something today that my little guy really liked. Since we both love hot and spicy, so I opted for spicy noodles. It turned out great and both of us were really full. Excluding daddy; he doesn't really enjoy noodles stuff, so he didn't even care looking at it haha.. Oh well just want to share! Moving on, I am just thrilled that I don't have to deal with anything right now; like redoing the garage flooring. It's just a tricky process and it takes a long time for me to decide what's best and not. But if ever I have to redo it, I will probably make sure the design is something I will be happy with in the long run.

When papa comes over, we wanted to get another TV in his bedroom. We can't really take advantage of the TV in our living area, since it's pretty much Joshua's TV. We can't watch anything, hence the reason of having one in my bedroom as well. Probably, an upgrade on all TV mounts would be a perfect idea too; The safer it is the better. Ah, didn't notice my little guy is taking his nap already. I put this feathery throw on the floor and he really loves to sleep on there. I better check him now!

Run Joshua run; these were the exact words I said to Joshua when the rain started pouring yesterday. We were on an afternoon adventure and was interrupted by a heavy rain. We had no choice but to head home. I don't want my camera get wet and so we decided to end the fun ASAP. It wasn't exactly the way I wanted it to end, but we don't want to go home soaking wet. Too bad it wasn't as fun as last week. Anyway, next Monday is Mike's birthday, so yeah another celebration in the house. That's something we all look forward to. I'm still going to buy a present and maybe a few holiday gifts. Though, I haven't officially started making lists, but I have a few things on my mind already. Have a great Sunday you all!
