Fluttering Butterflies

So we decided to go to the Heard Museum yesterday. It was very well planned the night before that we will have to do one of the self-guided nature trails. When we got there Joshua totally freaked out and doesn't want to proceed any longer. So we stayed and focused on seeing whatever was the closest, which includes a few animals, birds and the butterflies. Overall it was a great family outing. Here are a few photos to share!

Summer Dip

I bet you won't be surprised what it's like here in Texas. The heat is totally giving me a headache this summer. I avoid going out in the middle of the day because the heat is just too much to handle. We tend to go places at around 7pm. and go to the pool early in the morning. My guy loves going to the pool everyday and since he's been taking swimming lessons, so it's a perfect time to practice. I can't blame him if he wants to swim all the time.

Picnic

I've been so busy this week attending Joshua's summer classes namely ice skating, swimming and gymnastics. I think we've got the perfect summer programs for my little guy to enjoy. Joshua being able to interact with other kids is really important and our time spent on all three classes is really worth it. I can't ask for more all I can say is I am proud of him and no doubt he did great. I can't wait to see his progress at the end of the summer. On the other hand, Josh and I had a picnic earlier this week and here are a few shots.

Outdoor Fun

We always find time to do something together as a family on weekends and one of our favorite places to go is the White Rock Lake. We've visited a few other state parks as well, but us kind of stick to the one which is closer from where we live. Hubby gets so bored easily, that he needs to unwind outside and do something fun. It's a great way to relax, enjoy and get away from our computers as well and not get stuck inside. You know I love taking photos so it's so cool to plan something like this over the weekend.

Bonding Moment

We don't normally go out on Friday's, but since hubby came home early today; we decided to go to Turtle Creek. It's been awhile since the last time we visited the place and I believe Joshua was still very young. It's fun to really do things together as a family and my little guy seemed to enjoy it a lot. We just love each other's company. To see my son having a great time with his dad is the part I love being a mom. Family is very important and yeah as a parent I want my kids to be secured in the future and having term life insurance would be a great choice. Here are a few photos I would love to share. Take a peek!

Lovin' the outdoors

One of the few things Josh and I love to do is really going to the park. We love to bring food and have a picnic over there and spent the rest of our time playing. No doubt I have an active 5 year old boy, so he needed that freedom to be outside and just really having fun. I do like it too and it's great to be active once in awhile and used up all the energy we got. Of course it won't be a perfect outdoor fun without taking photos. I could always find something to photograph anything that interests me.

July4th Snapshots

I thought Joshua would be so over of his fear of the fireworks. We always seem to miss the great show and the finale most of the time and last July 4th was no exception. Now that he is 5 years old he is not over it yet. Yeah, it was kind of a bummer since we waited until 9:30pm just to watch the fireworks show. When the show started him was teary eyed and we had to leave right away. I am glad we did go to the fair park earlier, so at least we were able to play games and enjoy the rides. But overall this year's July 4th celebration had been great.

Happy to be 28

I invited my friend and her kids to come by earlier today because I am having a small b-day party. I decided to hold it in the park, so the kids could also play. After almost 2 hours of playing the kids are just worn out. I am glad I was able to celebrate it still, though it's kind of late since we were on a trip last June 17th,which is officially my birth date. So belated happy birthday to me. Everything went great and I am glad it didn't rain as what was predicted. Just a quick post to remember the event!

Lorikeet Feeding

These photos are still at SeaWorld Adventure Park. Joshua certainly had fun feeding the dolphins, but he also loved feeding the birds. He was a bit antsy waiting since they will open at exactly eleven in the morning and we were a little early. But the wait was worth it. He was swarmed with the birds and though he can't manage to feed them all, but he obviously wanted to be around them. Here are a few shots of my little guy, while taking his time to feed the birds.

Dolphin Cove

I just recently came back from a trip with my family and all I can say is that we totally had a blast at SeaWorld. I also turned 28 last 2 days ago. There wasn't a formal celebration yet since we were at SeaWorld that day. So I am hoping to invite a few friends to celebrate it with me maybe tomorrow. I would love to share some of the photos I took while we were at the dolphin Cove. This was my little boy's choice to go first, which we also favored. Our time spent there was totally worth it. Our trip was planned so well and our expenses are pretty reasonable, though maybe next time it would be wise to have travel insurance. These photos are fresh from my camera. I also attached a video of my little guy while feeding the dolphins. Take a look!

I'm back

Sorry for the long absence, but my family went for a trip to San Antonio Sea world from Sunday-Tuesday. We totally loved it there, especially Joshua. We ended up buying a season ticket because we want to go back there again before the end of the year. It was around 100 degrees in San Antonio and it seemed the heat doesn't really bother everyone. I think all the shows we went to were just amazing. I would love to share some of the videos I took. We're definitely digging it. We wished our 3 day trip didn't end that quickly, but hoping we could make a few trips in between July to December. A 4 and a half drive wasn't that bad at all. I am still working on the videos/photos to be uploaded in my PC and Flickr, so I will share it in my next post sometime this week. Thank you all for the birthday greetings. An update of the event will follow!

Look-alike

Josh was so persuasive to sit on top of this guy here. When we got home he wasn't so thrilled when I told him they look-alike haha..Of course I was kidding and my little guy is a lot cuter. He loves to go to the zoo and we have the whole year to enjoy. I just love this photo of him!

A Celebration of Love

Hubby and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary yesterday. As always he had to work until 5pm,so we waited until dinner time to celebrate it. Nothing fancy we just went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner and exchanged presents afterwards. In addition, hubby also booked a short family vacation trip and we will be leaving three weeks from now. It's just really a simple celebration to remember.

Delight

We spent the whole day yesterday at our relatives place in Greenville. Hubby's brother bought a new land,so they showed us their new place where they're going to build their house. They had everything set up well for the afternoon siesta inside the property. We definitely had a great time seeing them yesterday.Even though it was a long drive, but we still went to see them. It's very rare that all the relatives can get together and yesterday was just the perfect time. So that was our memorial day weekend!
On the other hand, I woke up feeling crappy today. For some reason my right leg is hurting so bad. Hubby said since I am not used to long distance walks, that might triggered it. What a bummer! I just want to stay on bed all day,but my sister was online earlier,so I need to get up. These donuts were all I had for brunch. I definitely need a great meal in dinner time. Gotta go!

Baby Dolphin

We can't still finalize where to enroll Josh for his swimming class. There aren't many schools nearby and not sure where is the best. We have visited 2 swim schools so far and hopefully we could decide at least this week. We also spent time in the swimming pool lately. It's been pretty hot last weekend,so we decided to unwind in the pool. Here's my little guy splashing!

Zoo:jam-packed

I think Josh and his friends can't really get enough of the zoo. Last Friday we went back there again. That's the advantage of having a season pass because anytime the kids want to go there. We could go back anytime without worrying another $50 dollars to be spent. Even us adults really enjoyed feeding the birds and so are the kids. Maybe next time we could peruse the barn and they might be interested to ride the pony or pet the farm animals. We are definitely not coming back on Fridays because it's normally jam-packed. It's nice to have a little room to stretch than nothing. Last Friday was just horrible but we managed to stay on an area where the kids didn't have a hard time seeing the animals. We certainly didn't finish seeing the rest but we have the whole year to enjoy. Here are a few photos I took!

Japanese Garden

Last weekend had been great.I am glad we were able to unwind at the beautiful Japanese Garden in Fortworth. The whole place is just marvelous. Josh really enjoyed feeding the fishes and I was engrossed finding great views to capture. There are still a lot of different gardens to visit next time. The place is so huge that we can't visit all of them. I would love to visit there again and see the other gardens we haven't visited yet. The place is so relaxing and peaceful and no disburtance from the outside. I just want to wander around and stare at the beautiful nature God has created.

Just another fun day outside

I am very thankful we signed up for family season tickets in Dallas Zoo this year. We recently visited the Fair Park Aquarium and because we're a member at DZ,so we don't have to pay anything. I mean one year access and we only have to pay one time I think we got a great deal. A family of four might spend $50-$60 dollars just in one day. Having to go back there without worrying another $60 bucks to be spent. Then better off get a season ticket and that's exactly what we did. We spent part of our day at the FP Aquarium today and here are some of the photos I took.

A day at the zoo

It's been awhile since the last time we went to the zoo. So we decided to have a trip there yesterday. Josh was very thrilled of this trip. One thing I have observed is that he doesn't complain he was tired. We had spent 3 hours over there and the whole time he was OK. He really enjoyed seeing all the animals. It also helps that he sees a lot of kids in there. So he thinks he is part of the group and the more he likes to stay. I enjoyed taking photos of the birds the most and had skipped the monkeys and any other huge creatures lol.

Dallas Blooms

We went to the arboretum earlier this week. I'm glad we were able to squeeze it in despite Myke's busy schedule. It wasn't really surprising to see a lot of people at the flower festival. It was just perfect for most families to visit there. We weren't able to visit every year and this time we made sure we won't miss it. I just love how relaxing it was resting underneath the trees and glanced at the beautiful flowers. We're definitely looking forward to seeing it again next year.
Here are a few photos I took!
