July4th Snapshots

I thought Joshua would be so over of his fear of the fireworks. We always seem to miss the great show and the finale most of the time and last July 4th was no exception. Now that he is 5 years old he is not over it yet. Yeah, it was kind of a bummer since we waited until 9:30pm just to watch the fireworks show. When the show started him was teary eyed and we had to leave right away. I am glad we did go to the fair park earlier, so at least we were able to play games and enjoy the rides. But overall this year's July 4th celebration had been great.

Discover Wildlife

I don't know what happened last night, but I had a terrible stomach ache and I wasn't able to sleep. I woke up late today and it came to my realization, that it's my cleaning day. So I forced myself to clean up a little bit and organized Joshua's toys and throw some of his junks. He tends to keep these free toys, which he gets every time we buy kid's meal. I just can't keep them anymore, so I went ahead and tossed them away. He actually agreed that it's time to get rid of that stuff and of course he was very possessive of his real toys. I am amazed of what I have accomplished today and I am almost done. I am just taking a break cleaning, so I have to do a few tasks here online and be back to my chores in a bit. I also have to finalize our trip to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center next week. It's a scenic wildlife drive and if we have enough time we would love to swing by at the Dinosaur World or the Dinosaur Valley State Park as well. We are really trying to do as many activities this year because once Joshua will start school then trips like this is going to be very limited already. We are also planning to go to Utah at winter time and yeah can't beat the summer beach vacation in Hilton Head Island. I've heard this is one of South Carolina's beautiful islands. Fair Park Dallas

We decided to watch fireworks tonight at Fair Park instead of going to the Trinity River Fiesta. To me it's just more of a family-friendly event and since we're familiar of the place that might help Joshua not to get bored while waiting for the fireworks show at around 9:30pm. Starting at 5pm. today all fair park museums are open and there are also a lot of games for everyone to enjoy. Other scheduled shows for tonight are definitely a must see. I am looking forward to seeing more this year and it would be great if this event will be followed by a family summer beach vacation. That sounds really awesome and yeah I know exactly where to go for a travel guide.

Sweaty Day

I tried to take Josh to the park yesterday, but even at around 6pm. it was still hot outside. Oh yeah nothing new about the dreaded heat in Texas and it gets insanely up to 103 degrees sometimes. Yesterday it was high of 93 degrees and my little guy and I were all sweaty. But he was unstoppable and still wanting to play, so I let him play. We were quite busy yesterday because he had his swimming class in the morning, then run some errands, went to the mall and then later that day we went to the park. It was just about time for daddy to come home and we were probably 20 minutes earlier and he didn't realize we were out all day. He knows I don't go out that much, so he was surprised we were gone that long. After my little guy settled for the night I was browsing a bit and stumbled upon an equestrian clothing store, which has wonderful selections of horse clothing, horse/rider equipment, rider riding apparel and sportswear.

Wheel Of Fortune

My family enjoys watching this show so much and guessing the puzzles at the same time are sure so much fun. Joshua is the one who is really addicted to the WOF online game. Maybe one day this boy will be on the show; he just loves it so much. Family time is really important to us and a short time to gather around watching shows like this does make a difference.
On the other hand, I was pretty excited to hear from my sister earlier today. They finally bought the house and lot that they've been wanting since last year. My sister just got married and it's good to see her really doing great with her life as well. She's also expecting a baby and everything is just perfect. I reminded her to really save and don't spend more than what they earn. As mortgage lenders they have a huge responsibility now and the years to come. It's better to have something in the future than nothing.

What a fun day

I am so proud of my little guy today. He did great on his first session of his swimming class. He was a bit a shy at first, but afterwards he was very into it already. He can't wait for next week's class again. The instructor told me that their goal is for Joshua to at least hold his breath for 40 seconds and today Joshua did hold his breath for 10 seconds. That was a pretty great start. I am glad we enrolled him this year. I am just very happy for him. I really want him to be involved this summer, so he won't get bored. His daddy won't mind paying for stuff like this as long as he is having fun. Taking him to classes like this is definitely a priority just like getting a life insurance for kids. Who else can benefit his hardwork, so it's going to be my son? He definitely had a blast with our activity today.

July 4th Goodies

Joshua is finally enrolled to a swim class. We just visited the swim school today and my little guy is very excited for his first session this coming Thursday. He is a little bit behind because they actually started last 3 weeks ago. But I insisted if he could still get in for this summer, then that would be great. I know my little guy is more than ready to learn all the techniques and what's lacking is just really proper training. I am glad we pursued it this year!

On the other hand, when I got home hubby handed me a package it was a green box from IZEA. I knew it right away it's going to be July 4th goodies. They're known to send seasonal gifts and I haven't gotten any yet,so now it's my turn. How wonderful of them to send something for the bloggers. This is really appreciated!

Fun Rides

Joshua is too little for these rides, so we decided to focus in the water park and watch shows as much as we can. Hubby was dying to ride on one of these, but we don't have a choice but to pick the ones Joshua can ride with us too. If hubby and I got a chance to ride and knowing how high it is I would still be very hesitant to do it. I don't know if I would be thrilled to be up there. It's just way scary to me, but looking at the people up there it seemed like they're really having fun. Maybe one day I will be less fearful and adventurous enough to try it!

Happy to be 28

I invited my friend and her kids to come by earlier today because I am having a small b-day party. I decided to hold it in the park, so the kids could also play. After almost 2 hours of playing the kids are just worn out. I am glad I was able to celebrate it still, though it's kind of late since we were on a trip last June 17th,which is officially my birth date. So belated happy birthday to me. Everything went great and I am glad it didn't rain as what was predicted. Just a quick post to remember the event!

Radio Disney Concert Series

I think it's just about time to visit my friend in New Jersey. She's wanted me to visit there last year,but didn't really have the time to take some time off.I was just too busy at work and hopefully I could make it this year.She also mentioned the places we're going to visit and she suggested this coming summer would be perfect. I am kind of skeptical at first and asked her about the Things to do in New Jersey and she said don't worry because there a lot of things to see and to enjoy, especially in Morey’s Piers. She mentioned Radio Disney has a Summer Concert Series and no doubt the kids would really love it. I was just browsing the website and Raven Symone from "That's So Raven" will be performing live along with the hottest rising stars. The good thing about it is that the concert is FREE, which will take place in Wildwood, New Jersey at Morey’s Piers. How cool is that! We're definitely not going to miss new jersey water park as well. My little guy just love to go there and it have also an ideal time for the adults to get together,enjoy and relax. It sounds like we have an exciting month ahead!

A Celebration of Love

Hubby and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary yesterday.As always he had to work until 5pm,so we waited until dinner time to celebrate it. Nothing fancy we just went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner and exchanged presents afterwards. In addition, hubby also booked a short family vacation trip and we will be leaving three weeks from now. It's just really a simple celebration to remember.

Wildflower Festival

I would love to go to the Wildflower Festival in Richardson TX,but hubby is going to be very busy this weekend. I know Myke would love to see the concert. I am not sure if we can make it on Sunday that's going to be the last day. No idea with my little guy I bet he would really love the Kidz Corner. They have the art contest,butterfly habitat,rock wall,petting zoo,bounce houses,face painting,and a lot more. And of course tons of cool prizes.Must be a fun weekend if we can make it. The only thing that I am not thrilled about is that we can't bring "professional camera equipment" defined as any camera with detachable lens. Too bad I don't have my P&S camera anymore lol.

Specially For You

All moms deserve to get something this month. I am sure they will appreciate everything they will receive be it simple,expensive or less expensive. Try different things each year. Why not customize your gifts and be more creative. My mom is very appreciative whatever it is that I am going to give her. For 6 years I've been away from her and this year she really deserves something much better than the year before. This necklace is really cool and I think she might like it. I would also order flowers to go with it.No doubt I would definitely make someone happy!

Summer Fun

No doubt I love Spring season.The last couple of weeks all we did was visiting different botanic gardens just to take photos of flowers. The other day was no exception. I have tons of flower photos again. We just love walking underneath the trees and feel the cool breeze in the garden. On the other hand I can't also wait to enjoy Summer. The only thing we don't have here close by is the beach. We need to drive 3-5 hours to see one. But that won't stop us to enjoy the Summer and if need be why not go to Mexico right? Tons of beautiful beaches over there. Sporting a nice beach bike is definitely a great addition. Cruiserstyle has great selections of beach cruisers and I love the 26" XYZ Easyrider Beach Cruiser for women. They also have some great accessories to go with it. I just love the idea of getting a good tan and enjoy outdoors. So many things to do in Summer time like surfing,boating,island hopping,biking,camping,rock climbing,ocean cruising and a lot more. Some of these activities might not be ideal when you have toddlers,but no doubt this would be fun to others. Must be awesome to visit any of the top destinations of world too. So enjoy!

Future Trip

We are looking forward to visiting San Antonio Seaworld this coming Summer. Too bad we can't make it next month. They're only open during weekends and Thursdays,so it's definitely not the best time. My little guy is super excited about this trip and we can't wait to go there. This is only a 4 day trip,so I am already listing what attractions to visit and what not to be missed. No doubt it's a beautiful place to visit! The theme park alone is really huge and it might take us two days to finish seeing everything. I think everyone who goes there will really love the historic feel of the city. The anticipation is killing me!

Spring Inspiration

When I got married in my early 20's I figured mom would be a little devastated. It's because I had moved out very young and I know she was really concerned of me. That was definitely a hard transition,but she survived and she already understood,that her first born child has her own family now. I would definitely say that there's still a special bonding between me and her. I've been away from my mom for 7 years now,but I never failed to send her flowers especially during mother’s day. When it comes to occasions like this I will always order flowers online.I have managed to do it for many years. At first mom was very surprised and never expected one from me every year. The only way those flowers will be sent on time was to order it days before the celebration. I love love buying gifts to someone,so that's something I have really enjoyed. I wish I am not this far,so my presents aren't very limited. But I am glad she will be joining us soon. Phone calls twice/thrice a week really helped a lot too. So what about you? How often do you send flowers to your mom? As a way of appreciation sending flowers to our moms is really a sweet gesture. I know they would love that. Birthday Boy

My little guy turned 5 last Tuesday. He actually had two parties and the first one was with her cousins. The second one was with our selected friends and it was held at Chuck E. Cheese's. As a favor daddy ordered his cake twice decorated with his favorite cartoon character Spongebob. He just love spongebob and even Myke and I are both fascinated with him as well. The intention was to let the kids just play and enjoy,while have some pizzas and drinks. You know just a simple celeration for kids. We also have a lot tokens for the kids to use and I am glad they did enjoy it. I was surprised that after 4 hours of playing nobody was ready to go home yet. Our friends were also nice enough to wrap some wonderful presents for him. He got bubble mower,bicycle,clothes,cash,cards and a few other toys. This was such a fun time for Josh because he didn't only picked his b-day theme,but also picked the family friends to join him celebrate. My little guy is sure growing!

Gotta Party

It's going to be Joshua's B-day tomorrow. We invited a few close friends to join us celebrate. My little guy is so super excited since last week. He's so fascinated with Spongebob so he picked this as his b-day theme. This is actually a double celebration because my younger sister is also going to get married tomorrow. Too sad I won't be able to attend her wedding because I am obviously 10,000 miles away from my family. But sending her best wishes and of course my ultimate present is on the way.
So we went to Party City yesterday and grab some spongebob stuff for his b-day from the party favors to the Pinata. Everything is ready and he can't wait for his party.
